like I have said though, I don't really care if Buff is suspended or not. So Penguin fans making this all about them, because everything is all about them, is just silly to me.
It should have been a penalty. The ref was looking at the play as it happened. That's my problem with this incident.

No, we just find that it's very hypocritical - znagle
no, whining about Marc Staal's treatment of Sidney Crosby last year but lauding the way Ulf Samuelsson used to play when he was head hunting in front of Tom Barrasso's net back in 91 and 92, that's hypocritical
"For those who say Marc Staal's checks against Sidney Crosby were similar. I agree to a point but this was eons more vicious and made to defensiveness player on the ice."
So you're saying Sid wasn't defenseless at all? He should have defended those 3 head shots with his back turned? Only difference is that he was on the ice. - znagle
I think you're missing the point. Crosby has gotten away with much more than he has received. He has been protected by the commissioner, the owner and the officials since he has been in the league. Staal has been a clean player, yes, he took shots at Sid, but Sid is no angel, in fact, what makes Sidney such a polarizing figure and so hated by everyone except in Pittsburgh is he is sneaky and knows the league will never do anything to him b/c of what he means to the league. He is an embarassment

I see the difference as one is a hockey play gone wrong and one is a deliberate attempt to injure. Defensmen crosscheck guys in front of the net all the time, but Staal got the stick up a little high on Sid. Same with the high hit. Guys play hard against Sid because he's one of the best in the league. Occassionally, someone will cross the line. I didn't think either was done deliberately, but I could see why some wanted a suspension. The Buff play is not a normal hockey play. At no time should you be dropping to your knees while simultaneously crosschecking a guy near the neck/head. No place in the game for that kind of stuff.

Just like we find Pens fans complaining about cheapshots and dirty hockey when they employed Cooke and now have Downie and Lapierre on their roster - rangerdanger94
Cooke head hunting on McDonagh. I remember that like yesterday. Does anyone have a video of that?

Downie and Lapierre haven't done one dirty thing on the Pens roster.
Matt Cooke's repeated head shots, James Neal. Malkin's Slew foot on Mara.
Yes the penguins are boy scouts. - tomburton99
Cooke cleaned his game up for a while, then was dumped. Neal was also dumped. He was never a dirty guy until he got spotlight. I'm sure nobody in the history of the Rangers has ever done one dirty thing. I can't argue homerism.

can you believe nobody has called you troll yet?
How many times would that word be uttered if we were talking in your blog?

Is this a joke, Cooke ring a bell? Nobody is more hyppcritical than "super" Mario when he cries and cries about dirty play but employs some of dirtiest players in the business. Hell, he was a VERY dirty player himself. It seems that all everyone associated with the organization can do is cry and whine like dogs, from the fans to the players to the owner. Hell, even the blogger whines. Pathetic

Crosby is the dirtiest player since Claude Leimeux. And you wonder he gets headshots? At least admit it to make yourself look good

I mean in we're gonna go toe to toe. I have the youtube videos. Again. What about Crosby breaking Giroux's wrist? Intent to injure?
