I look at it this way, see what the fans of other teams think, with the exception of the certain fan base who think Staal is Jack the Ripper. It's pretty unanimous, it was a brutal play. - mdw7413
Deserves supplemental and could have been much worse.
And Staal is quite literally irrelevant to this topic, other than letting someone vent their butthurt.

Is anyone concerned with AV's rotation of pairings on the back end? Seems like since Klein has been out, he can't get steady pairings together. I like Hunwick as the 7th man, but having 3 offensive defensemen (maybe even 4 if you include McD) kind of scares me going into the playoffs. It's really made me appreciate what Klein does for this team even more, if that was ever possible.

I think it's because there are 4 lefthanded defensemen in the lineup with Hunwick in there, Hunwick playing the right side.
Klein in there makes everything the way it should be

I'm actually happy he's doing that. Yandle has played well for a week or two, Hunwick is hot and cold and Boyle is Boyle. I like that AV is trying find balance.
"the end result of which is James Sheppard probably sitting with Tanner Glass skating with Dominic Moore."
who in their right mind would play Glass over Sheppard right now?!?! I think sheppard has been a God send on the 4th line. Glass is horrible. Sheppard and Moore look like they are starting to develop some chemistry. no reason at all to play Glass. - richardson30
We all know how AV feels about Glass. Plus, Sheppard hasn't greatly distanced himself from Glass since he has been in the lineup. If close, think AV goes with Glass, whether we like it or not.
Read the blog, I referred to this in it and why I felt they were different. - airjan23
"For those who say Marc Staal's checks against Sidney Crosby were similar. I agree to a point but this was eons more vicious and made to defensiveness player on the ice."
So you're saying Sid wasn't defenseless at all? He should have defended those 3 head shots with his back turned? Only difference is that he was on the ice.
Buff knows he's big enough that nobody will (frank) with him, sort of like a playground bully until someone takes him out. Like Lucic was, although he's always been a puss.

Crosby know's he protected enough to spear, slew foot and break people's wrist without repercussion.
