He should have been let go/not resigned years ago. He's not the kind of player you see on good teams.
I hope he and Elias are done after this season. Be done with cammilari also. Same with Ryder and Havlat - we are way to heavy on our top 9 with old, underperforming guys who good teams let go of. Time to move on - jackzack87

How does everyone feel about a potential reunion with Julien behind the bench? If Boston misses the playoffs he might get the axe, and Lou loves to bring in guys that used to be part of the team. Its not like he did a poor job with us, actually, it was one of our best regular seasons ever, i never understood why he was fired. |

Age is certainly a factor, but I think the fact that he entered the league at such a young age and has played over 1200 games in the NHL is what really has caught up to him. Pretty sure he's in the top 100, if not top 50 in all time games played in the NHL. - ATLL765
You're right...he's 90th all-time and 7th among active players. He's played more NHL games than Elias and almost as many as Brodeur. Wow.
Yeah, I think the end might be near for Zubie. That's a lot of mileage for someone who has never been considered a star player. |

Kimelman has you taking Rantanen. Morreale has you taking Kyle Connor, ahead of Marner. - tomburton99
Rather have Barzy to be honest, we need a good center. You dont't find any of the good ones on the market, you have to strike gold in the draft, and this kid has got some serious skill. |

Brazal wouldn't be a bad kid. He's got a little Bergeron/Toews in him. Meaning that he can be relied upon on all three zone. Not saying his upside will be those two guys. I also like Rantanen. The Fins have been producing some good, NHL ready talent over the past few years. |

I figure the probability of that happening is lower than winning the lottery. The actual lottery, not the draft lottery. Julien was fired because the players had no respect for him. The story is someone took a shot at him to see how he'd respond and he wouldn't do anything about it. I guess that's what happens when players are used to Pat Burns.
But the point is Julien can pretty much pick his team if he were to actually be fired (which would be an idiotic move by Boston), why in Gods name would he come back here after what happened last time? |

Exactly. Julien most definitely has sour grapes and rightfully so. Lou (frank)ed him over that year. I didn't like the way the team was playing either at the time of the firing but that was still a very bad move by Lou. |
