Tanner, can you write a single Arizona blog without referencing the Leafs? Or a single lazy Plus / Minus blog without mentioning the name of a Leaf in the heading? It's a blatant and pathetic trick designed to lure more readers in. Not only that, but in this article you actually use the same ploy by introducing George Bush and Stephen Harper into the mix?? You're pathetic. If you had any talent whatsoever, you wouldn't need to resort to gimmicks like this. None of the other bloggers do this - they stick to the team that they support. Most likely because they actually have things to say, other than simply listing their prospects for us. And pleeeease stop talking about "analytics", as if you have any clue what you're talking about
- AxlRose91

And yet, you're reading every day. Man, trolling is so 2006. Why don't you put on one of your favorite Maroon 5 records and relax a bit?

How? When you include an offhand remark that disparages a political leader who has been the Prime Minister for close to a decade, you're going to get a derailed poopstorm.

you have to use your sarcasm glasses to see it

I hear you man. I thought you could take shots as Bush and Harper and be apolitical about it, since even their once most ardent supporters have kind of moved on and realized they aren't/weren't very good at their jobs.

I guess I underestimated how black and white some people see the world. No big deal.

- James_Tanner

I think you underestimate the amount of support Stephen Harper still has in Western Canada.

Yep and the more people move away from him, the more rabid his core supporters get.

You believe in peace but say Bush is a better leader then Harper. Ya hes better at staging a war and killing thousand of innocent people to steal the oil from under there feet. Sounds like a winner to me what a joke.
- jake24242

LOL! What oil? How much did he get and where did he get it from? And where did you get the "thousand" number from?

If you consider management to be a part of the team, Edmonton is easily the worst in the NHL. If you are only talking about the current product on the ice, then Arizona is a good choice.

Somehow, the Oilers are the worst, IMO.

I think the Islanders used to be the worst and now the Oilers have taken over that spot, I just hope that they are turning a corner and on their way to not being a joke.

As a whole, I agree. I think the Sabres are a worse team at this moment, but I also think the Sabres future is infinitely more bright.

The Oilers will be stuck where they are until they finally do a flush and scrub job on their entire upper management.

as long as Darryl katz realizes that the mongs with no real clue of the situation, how short a period mact had had the job for, the constraints of his job, the garbage fire he took over, that lowe doesn't make the decisions-that hes just a figurehead, the waiting on development etc etc., are just parroting the same nonsense they hear from some clueless media dude, im totally fine with the masses saying the oilers "really need to get rid of management" and "that's the real issue"

I would love one of these brilliant posters to map out exactly how some other gm would've changed the realities of the situation mact took over and is currently in.

hes the the right guy for job.

the rest of you aren't capable of independent thought. (that one was for my boy tanner )

Woohoo, disparaging Stephen Harper!

The results of doing so are foreseeable, but still totally worth it

In my opinion, neither Bush nor Harper are decent human beings - they are bought and sold by oil companies and they have forgotten the face of their fathers.

But I could also say the same thing about Hilary Clinton.

I don't like them because they think violence is the answer to everything and it has nothing to do with what side of the aisle they vote on.

James,

Thank you for the reply. A blog is a little different than a discussion, but it is your blog. But for an intelligent man to write such nonsense as in the quote make me feel so very sad.

President Bush took a declaration of war to the Congress before starting the Iraq War in 2003, and both Democrats and Republicans voted for it, including the liars who shouted "no blood for oil" later on. Please tell me a time when the current President did the same thing with his use of military power? As an aside, remember 9-11, the Marsh Arabs, the no-fly zone, and WMD that just happened to show up in Syria?

Bush and Harper were never under the thumb of big oil, but our current president is sure bowing to special interests like the far left environmentalists, Wall Street Bankers and the like. He and his party raise most of the donations from the 1% who receive favors from the government.

Neither of them are warmongers, especially in comparison to Iran, Putin's Russia, Hamas, and several other governments and rules I can name, and you can too.

Enjoy the season and debate on. If you get McDavid I hope it works out for the Coyotes.
