Letang is not by any stretch my favorite player, I do like his dirty play; but regardless he doesn't get much respect league wide.

Letang is the best skating d-man in the league, he skates like Paul Coffey; its beautiful to watch.

Best or fastest? Paul Coffey I always thought had kind of a choppy stride, he was just incredibly fast. Bobby Orr, on the other hand, was both.

Other than Letang, the D-men I like are: Duncan Keith, Drew Doughty and Shea Weber.

Honestly I wouldn't trade Letang for Suter or Pietrangelo.

I'm guessing all offense all the time with some good physical play is better than some offense coupled with very physical play and some of the best hockey sense in the league?

I wouldn't say Suter and Pietrangelo are very physical. They are great positionaly.
