While you still female dog about penalties and all, please remember you couldn't score against a team who has Fraser playing D with decent mins tootoo in top 6 and both him and Zubrus are on the powerplay

Pens have scored 1 goal or less in 6 of the last 8 games I believe, must be the nhl and officials, in fact the other teams goalies pads are above regulation and whenever the pens have the puck it turns to a beachball, yeah that's it it's logical

Why do you care what we think? Cause I can tell you, I don't give a sh!t what you think. The only difference is, I'm not a douchebag on your board trying to convince you otherwise.

Last time a dive was called where the other player wasn't called for a penalty? Don't think I have ever seen a dive called by itself....
- dmarsden2988

Let me see if I got this right? A dive is only called as a make-up call.

It's not even like NJ played well. Schneider single handedly won the game. If this was last year with Brodeur in net it would have been 5-2 pens.

I though he dove, no problem with that call, or are you saying Fraser didn't trip him?

Between Sundays game, tonights game, Fraser coming out and all buy saying the refs are setting an example with the Pens....the local media talking about it all day, its turning into a big issue in this area. The refs don't want to call penalties fine, but when they aren't calling them is its directly impacting the outcome of the game, then I have issue...Pens game or Kings game, or whomever is playing. Thats my biggest issue, let ask you a question...who is being the bigger baby here...the Pens or the Refs? I think we know the answer, and its scary.

With that fiasco against the Red Wings the Pens have made their bed, now they have to sleep in it. You don't have to like it but you have to deal with it. In the long run they did the right thing tonight and played thru everything and kept their mouths shut. We may have to do this for a couple more games. Bottom line is they didn't score tonight, they had their chances but couldn't get it done. That's hockey.

you must really hate your life...someone give this guy a hug. We know the NHL wants the Pens to win, GB rigged the draft, the Pens get all the calls from the refs....ect..ect...ect.. if you are going to troll, at least bring something fresh, get creative...

The refs shouldn't letting their hurt feelings influence the outcome of the game/season. It shows a lack of maturity, integrity and professionalism. They are always going to be in the hot seat. It's their job. I can understand missed calls, but tonights game was ridiculous.

So I was really excited to go to the game tonight... until I was actually at the game and it was one of the most boring games I have ever seen in my life. I don't even mean the Pens lack of scoring. The crowd never really seemed into the game, and the constant attempts by our team to pass through players got old. We never had anyone in front of the net, and when we did the puck was just usually flittering around in our skates. We need 72 back asap.

FWIW even my friends who are Devils fans couldn't believe that trip on Letang wasn't called... oh, I mean his clear "dive" according to the trolls.

Schneider played great and Letang is absolutely an amazing skater. The one player who stood out for me tonight aside from 87 and 58 was Sutter. He was noticeable when he was on the ice, but maybe that's just because I was watching for him and BB specifically. BB was absolutely invisible once again Im sorry to say.

I noticed Downie take a few cheap shots and get tossed to the ice and get up shaking his head. This nonsense with the refs has to stop. Other people can come in here and say that PP's don't make the game, and we'e entitled or crybabies...personally I don't give two (frank)s what they think. The games I have been watching have made it abundantly clear that the officials have an axe to grind with our team, and Im not the kind of person who usually subscribes to conspiracy theories.

Agendas & integrity say it all.

Officials are supposed to be non biased & not look at any statistic before, during or after a game. They are paid & hence are professionals, as such should have integrity & officiate a game equally both ways.

They should have video sessions as part of their training so they can compare what to call & what not to call to try & become consistent, but if there is bias in a game then the officials should see that through their game review & the appropriate actions taken.

poop happens in all forms of professional life, but when it's in the public eye, & people are wagering money on the outcome - an outcome that can be manipulated by the officials, then there should be an independent body overseeing the results - I haven't seen or listened to today's game, I am saying this because nearly every game there are people talking about what the officials did & didn't do for every team.

It's unfortunate that it happens but it happens everywhere - we have video review for tries scored & sometimes they (frank) that up as well??

Ah well the next few weeks are going to be a drag, let's just get enough wins to get home game advantage & not fall into the wold card - then the playoffs are a different story (same poop refereeing but different rules).

Having watched many games this year...and not having watched tonight's. .I still knew just from the boxscore how this game went down. This is starting to become a huge issue...I have watched so many games in my.life and more than enough that had nothing to.do with the pens. I can honestly say ive never seen a team so consistently given the shaft in terms of officiating. Its been so bad at times I honestly cant believe the pens havent just left the arena mid game. Im so tired of hearing about reputation etc etc....reputation of running ppl and jumping into every hit certainly hasnt adversely affected ovies career...the refs call what they want...when they want. This is clear. This is wrong. A penalty is a penalty all the time...no matter who commits the infraction. ..or when or what the score is. I dont care of its 5 to 0 for team a...of team b keeps doing stupid things...team a gets pps. I dont care if team a has 6 pps and team b has 1...if team b keeps doing stupid things...team a gets pps. This business of managing the game etc etc....needs to effin end.[url]

I think you're crazy if you actually believe any of this. Every team has issues with the officiating in the NHL. Whenever your team is going through a rough stretch it's amplified like with my team for example. Do you have any idea how many blown calls, horrible goal decisions we've had the last couple months? It's been ridiculous but every team has them. The officiating is awful through out the league not just the Pens they aren't singled out.

What does one have to do with the other? When you guys say the refs are out to get you and use that "non call" on Letang as an example it instantly takes away from your credibility. It was an obvious dive and not a penalty.

But like Letang unfortunately neither of them are #1 dmen in this league. Eh Wrath?
- stackthepads

Letang is a MUCH more well-rounded defenseman than Karlsson. Karlsson doesn't have Letang's defensive/physical side, but he's not exactly as inept as a guy like Keith Yandle. Just based purely on his on-ice skill set, I'd take Letang over EK.
