Well the NHL has gotten its wish. All teams are now playing like the NJ Devils who started this kind of borefest in the 90's This game is supposed to be pure and skillful and it has totally become absolutely unwatchable. All of this soccer on ice bs must really be thrilling the heirarchy of the NHL But the ones I feel sorry for are the knucklehead fans who have to pay big money to watch this crap. I have been a Penguin fan since day one but I could care less anymore They don't get a dime of my money and never will

The refs union is like the mafia, they force you to suck it up and take it. If the Penguins complain they will get fined and this will continue on top of it, if they refuse to play they will just lose points. Tonight was a prison rape, tomorrow to survive they will have to smile and sit at the same table as their assailants. The entire 3rd period was excellent sustained pressure by the Penguins coupled with ridiculous goal tending and even more ridiculous non call after non call. The only call they absolutely had to make they evened out by calling a BS embellishment.

The trip on Letang was so blatant and obvious that it's sickening.

It was a total missed call, one in a long line tonight, but you have your bias and I have mine.

That is bloody ridiculous. When you have former refs like Stewart and Fraser repeatedly comment about how they never let their feelings about players or team influence how they called the game and then you watch something like that you just have to shake your head.

At some point the refs have to put their hurt feelings behind them and call the game properly for the integrity of the game.

For the most part they kept their mouths shut and Downie played well because he kept his composure, they should just tell him to stick to offense and nothing else. He's a welcome addition when he does that.

Pens have scored 1 goal or less in 6 of the last 8 games I believe, must be the nhl and officials, in fact the other teams goalies pads are above regulation and whenever the pens have the puck it turns to a beachball, yeah that's it it's logical

Aren't top teams supposed to be able to over come questionable calls or non calls? Stop looking for excuses

You are correct, the officials didn't win the game for the Devils, Schnieder played very well. Josefson made a nice play on the goal.

I have to admit though I slept thru 90% of the game.

We fully understand that the Penguins offense sucks right now. That is why a PP would be nice. Especially such a blatant trip.

No one is saying scoring isn't an issue...but when you have two all world talents, and they aren't allowed to be all world talents...thats the issue. The Pens need 87 and 71 to score, but when they are allowed to be held, clutched and grabbed...makes it a lot more difficult. i don't see how you watched that game tonight and didn't see the refs were out to set an example.
