you're missing the nuances of the game, same as golf, if you understand the game and what those guys are trying to do when the hit the golf ball (and how friggin hard it is to execute) you appreciate the very few guys in the world who can do it on a consistent basis.

I can't wait to make the trip to Safeco in May. The wife and I are driving from Seattle to San Francisco. Timing couldn't have been better. In fact, it will be the first west coast park I've ever visited. Might see the Giants as well - their park is incredible.

Understood - each to their own...I no longer have things I'd rather be doing. Difference in age I guess. I enjoy the peace and quiet, wife reads on the one couch I watch tv on the other one. When you lead a somewhat busy existence you learn to appreciate the quiet times I guess?

I loved Fenway, PNC and Wrigley.

Yes it sucks. Being the last dome stadium was a mistake, they missed the transition by about a year or two.

Edit: seriously though those guys are athletes and I couldn't do what they do in a million years, I just find that when I watch television, if I am not being rewarded consistently then there's really no reason why I would choose it over another show or activity

I enjoy quiet times, I'm a bit of a quiet person, but I would choose a good book over baseball personally. As you said, to each his own. Hockey is really my only vice WRT watching sports, only other thing I will watch when it's on is rugby or international soccer
