Yep. The Penguins' advanced stats were great in the Boston ECF in 2013. Won shot differential, scoring chance differential.

They didn't score goals. They allowed goals. They got swept.

We weren't going to the net so even with all the shots, we weren't getting enough chances to win every game. We also got super unlucky and were facing a great goalie.

If our PP is better, we win the Shark game. That's the one gripe I have, loved the rest of our game. Especially loved Pouliot taking over.

Everyone... I think we need a round of applause... my comments that got me banned from the "Die Hard" Penguins group on facebook, also got me an 8 hour bann on facebook. Of which, I slept through seven of them, and the getting read and drive to work took up the other hour. Missed the whole damn thing

Something along the lines of a guy being a f'ing retard for not knowing that LA is good, Florida is bad, and we lost to Colorado.

Apparently that was my fault

So you are basically saying there is no way to call the game per the rules. If so, that means things are simply broken.

Last night at the Flyers game, there were MULTIPLE times where each team had between 8 and 9 skaters on the ice during play while they were executing line changes on the fly. Per the rule book, no player can ever replace a player during play until the player being replaced has come completely off of the ice to the bench.

Why they didn't call a too many men on the ice penalty every time is baffling to me. I mean, they need to call it black-and-white per the rule book...right?

This happens every game and is seldom called. I agree it should be called. It would definitely help with more goal scoring. How many times has a change saved a team on the fly?

Thought it was that that was "ok" as long as none of the changing players made a play or touched the puck until the other player went off ice?

Within 5 feet of the bench and not interfering with play (can't touch opposing player or puck) is allowed.

It is. But several times every game for every team, players will be upwards of 8-10 feet away and the change is allowed without a call. Especially on the PK after a dump.
