I'm ok with the Bieksa trade talk but why would you consider trading Hamhuis? Seeing the Canucks defense depth, who would replace him? Next on the depth chart is Sbisa, Clendenning, Corrado, Stanton, none of those names make up a top 4 pairing. The return on Hamhuis wouldn't pay off for a couple years at best

Hamhuis was a solid elite free agency signing.The guy played for team Canada at the Olympics.he still plays a solid game. It makes no sense to trade the guy instead of resigning him whenever his deal expires.... All the young Canucks could learn a few things from him on how to play defense.

Does anyone else think that Kassian looks a little like the character Jim Carrey played in Dumb and Dumber? (I guess it's the gapped tooth thing but I feel there are other facial features as well)

Yah, Kassian definitely creates space for himself and line-mates. What a great play by Hamhuis (same guy that a lot of people had no problem in trading, earlier today). And Lack was outstanding (*did I mention I hated the Miller signing? )
