Come to think about it. Was that not the Matt Stajan defense? He produced like a second line centre (55 points I think it was) while playing on the top line with heavy offensive starts and PP time. Went to the Flames, instantly on the third and ultimately fourth line...

They may try to trade up and get Hanafin but I think there target is Crouse. They already have a cornerstone center. Crouse plays there style of game.

Crouse is overrated. What makes him superior to a guy like Bittner? If Blue jackets or anyone takes him top 6... That would be great. As a guy who cheers against the Sens I was always hoping they would take him top 10.

#DaylightKadriTime” He would have got there on time if he hadn't fallen down so often en route.

Oh no. I just was forced to remember the Hagman-Stajan-Kessel line, oh lord it burns. Rake my eyes out!

I'm not sure I don't watch either of them. Just reading scouting reports and scouts really love Crouse.

There's got to be quite a few third line guys that if they had the opportunity Bozak did they would produce the same..

Yeah idk why.. Sure he's a big body and a power forward but he should be producing more imo to use a top 10 pick on him.

A childhood of watching the Canadiens taught him how to fall down properly.

I bet you that he can dial 9-1-1 faster than any other guy on the Leafs

Kingston is third last in scoring in the league. And there is a huge gap. The assists aren't going to come on a team offensively challenged. He has been scoring goals. You have to watch him play like the scouts do. I have seen him once so it's not even close to being enough to judge his play.

All I've seen is the world juniors. He is not scoring at a pace that makes him worth a top 10. Look up his and Bittners stats. Bittners are better and he is ranked at the end of the first round.

Yup. Doesn't matter how offensively challenged your team, if you're a forward ranked top 10 you should be able to put the team on your back and get some points.

The thing that scares me is he's so big, he should be dominating the smaller guys in the OHL. I don't think leafs will be looking at him so I'm not worried though

There is obviously a reason. If we watched him play we would know. I know the kid has a high compete level, good defensive skills, good possession skills.

But not the high ceiling that you should expect from a guy who is being ranked top five of a draft like this. I see him topping out as a Ryan Callahan, which isn't bad, but for comparison he went fourth round.

If we got a guy like Crouse in the mid second round or third I'd be quite happy. If we blow a top five pick on him it'll set this team back years...

I disagree. I think Crouse is worthy of a 6-10 pick.

In p%, leafs are back in 4th worst, and Nashville fell to 5th best

If Nashville goes 2-12-0 the rest of the way, we get two lottery picks

I don't think that he's done anything worthy of the ranking. You know who else was a guy with similar scoring in his draft year who got a gold (and silver) medal with the Junior team...? Stefan Della Rovere....

Jackets have 2 with Carolina coming up and 2 with the Oilers. If they could win 3 of 4, that might get them far enough ahead of us. We can always hope for some 3 point games. Hopefully Carolina and Columbus split their games and both are 3 pointers....win...win...win! It would be nice to see the Oil get some loser points, as well. Get them ahead of Arizona and into the 3 hole.

love getting into the 3 hole
