I have no problem if we keep Booth next year but there's going to be a batch of Booth/Winnik/Santo types available late in the offseason. Pick the best ones available for one year deals. The better they are, the higher the picks we can flip them for. The only reason Booth is around is because we couldn't get anything for him.

Only contenders were going to get Franson really. We traded him to the "Contender" that's nose-dived horribly.

Over the past 10 seasons, only 4 players aged 21 or younger have scored 20 or more goals in the SHL. Andreas Johnson is one of those four.

Probobly won't be that long...hopefully Benning realizes soon that he has to start to rebuild. Core is too old and won't get any younger.

Yesterday there were a couple of goofball posts saying that MCDavid was a good player but not close to being a generational talent like Sidney Crosby et. al.

In his last year at Rimouski, Crosby had a 2.7 ppg average. McDavid's average at Erie is 2.6 ppg so far this year. And, he is scoring at a high rate and trending upward. Good chance he finishes ahead of Crosby's ppg average.

This does not mean McDavid will be a better NHL player than Crosby but let's stop this foolish about McDavid being something less than he is.
