what would they send us though? Their first rd picks are gonna be late picks.
Leafs would want a young roster guy but who would the preds part with?

- GardinerExpress

Jones.

Toronto's been missing that since that short season.

(frank)ing right. I'd bring up McLaren and Orr to just (frank)ing wreck everyone, ruin a few careers, jeopardize a few playoff runs with some brutal vigilante justice.

If Colorado is picking at around #8 I wonder if we could send something like Kessel for it. Pick up Werenski and Hanifin.

Rielly - Hanifin
Werenski - Percy

- BoTtLePoLiCe

I'd rather the leafs keep Kessel, or trade him for a young roster guy with potential ++

Why do you think that long? Galchenyuk made the show right away. Mackinnon,Barkov, and Lindholm right away. Draisitl made the oilers, Reinhart played 9 games and Bennett got hurt. These are all the top 5 centers from the last 3 years.

I don't mind getting another year of seasoning, but I'm pretty sure a top 5 in this draft is gonna be ready by the 2016-2017 season

- GardinerExpress

highly doubt it.
Draisital (sp) was sent down Reinhart sent down Lindholm played some games in the AHL

Dont rush guys man. if this thing is done correctly strome wont be here for atleast 3 years.

1 year in junior

1 year in the A

I think a lot of you guys need to take a breath, and realize how long this is going to take.

I don't think they do.
- JohnFergusonJr

They do, they just might be hesitant to part with them. Fiala would be a lovely pickup, Dougherty would have value as would Hellberg.

a season with like .905 goaltending
Montreal would be down with the leafs if they got the same instead of .935 from Price

Lindholm only played 6 games in the AHL compared to 120 in the NHL!
Draisaitl and Reinhart are good enough to play in the NHL, but their teams are terrible.
I'm just saying everyone of these guys that was not out 4-6 months, got game time their first year.

Like I said, a year or 2 max for one of these top 5 picks. 3-4 years is a bit long for that kind of talent, but probably a good time frame for the guy we pick 24th

Kessel can play…….when he wants to. He looks more like he should be eating burgers all the time though. He just does not look like an NHL player. too many cookies or brownies ha ha ha(if anyone caught the video between him and Phaneuf)

the bolded doesn't really help your argument

Look at the wings.

Mantha still hasnt got a sniff.

That's the measuring stick. set a culure in the AHL and work this thing up from the ashes.

dont rush kids. 2 years minimum for high drafted talent. even then i say its too early.

Rinne missed most of the year. If Price actually missed a huge chunk of the season, would the habs be anywhere near the top? Not with a 2.71 and .913 out of their backup, and 5 wins in 13 games.

I would make this a defense draft. Try for Hanifin, Werenski, Zboril in the 1st round. Pick up some forwards and some defense in the other rounds. Next 2 years focus more on up front.
Rielly - Hanifin
Werinksi - Zboril
Percy - Loov
