He's played a lot with Ovie/Backstrom at 5v5 though. Didn't the Jets just let him walk for nothing? - Nucker101

Yep. We need to lose a few, not add them.
I want Hagelin. I know he's a 2nd/3rd line tweener but I bet he can skate backwards faster then anybody on this team can skate at all. Boy we need speed - Bieksa#3
Haeglin would be a nice pickup depending on the price to get him. |

Referring to your comment on the last blog. Another derailment in timmins? - Bieksa#3
Gogama, right outside of town.
Tankers in the river. |

Hagelin will cost about 4.5 - 5 and a career high 17 . You said it yourself he is a tweener. |

So Fehr at 2 mil and 18 goals is a worse option than Hagelin at 5 mil and his 17 goals ? |

How much do you think he would cost? |

21 goals in 2010. According to you no GM should ever sign another UFA in case he turns out to be Clarkson - VANTEL
He's a bottom 6 player. I'd much rather put the $2 million towards a useful FA signing. |

You really think those will be their cap hits?
Matthias might get 6 mil then. |

What FA would that be Marty St Louis at 7 mil? The free agent pool sucks. Worst in years. |

I sure hope the Jets make the playoffs this year. No other city in the league deserves it more and I think they could do a ton of damage once in there. |

That's why I'd avoid it. Go bargain hunting after the first week. |

Fun team to watch, physical/fast and decent skill. Goaltending will make or break them though. |

Agreed. We aren't gonna win anything anytime soon. So why get tied into bad contracts. |

Way more useful towards re-signing Tanev, Dorsett. Maybe taking on contract from a team that needs the space. |

Zucerello just signed a discounted 3.5 without hitting UFA and he is not as good as Hagelin |

Yeah, I was through the last place he was at a few nights ago. The place is still super busy. I guess most of the people needed for this one are still in the area. |

I was avoiding it. Fehr is a lesser known FA and can be had at a decent cap hit with good numbers.
Unless we have players to step into that role , you need to pick up one or two FA |

If they sign Matthias/Dorsett then they'll need to move someone, not sign more. |
