Reilly Smith just signed an extension worth 3.45 over 2 years and has 12 goals on the season.

Anyone still think that Matthias and his 16 goals and UFA status is getting signed for under 4 this year?

Not worth 4m for 1 year of success. I say hometown discount if he's wise. Likes it here n success is here. I'm thinking 2.5-3m/3yrs

I want them to make the playoffs, I was just saying they don't deserve to. Thanks for learning how to read.

What a load of nonsense...deserve what they earn.
Try saying something instead of nothing.

How is that saying nothing?
This year the team has won far to many games on lucky bounces and goalies playing phenomenal while the team in from of them does nothing. Games like that will naturally happen for any team, but the Canucks have had so many this year. 2 wins vs Sharks, Last game vs Boston, the list goes on. We are extremely lucky to even be contenders to make the playoffs. As is Calgary.

Name the 8 teams in the West that deserve to make the playoffs?
Or the 6 that don't?
Thats stating a proper case

Anaheim
Chicago
LA
St.Louis
Nashville
Minnesota
Dallas
Winnnipeg
Those were the teams I thought would be favorites to make playoffs this year.
Dallas got some bad luck with Seguin's injury but have a solid tean. Early season losses would not indicate that though. LA didn't win 2 cups in 3 years for being a crap team. Minnesota has been a good team, just goal tending issues this year. All other teams have been solid most, if not all, of the year.

Why does LA 'deserve' to be in the play offs?

Uggghh

Didn't realize our next 3 games are all against californian teams.

LA and San Jose have dominated us this year.

Hoping for a decent result against Anaheim

We are 2-2 against SJ that's not domination.

A loss last night and suddenly facts start to change.

It's not his hometown though????? Toronto would be. I could see Toronto offering him 3.5-5 per season if he hits free agency.

People in this city lose their sh*t after a loss to the team's "we should" beat, but display jubilence when we beat a sure fire playoff contender. Realistically speaking, this team has had a 50/50 chance to make the playoffs since about 20 games in to the season. Where they are now in the standings lends itself to a higher probability for a playoff berth, so I've decided to take a wait and see approach. No need really to pass judgement on the team till the cards fall.

We were dominated on the ice by the Sharks in those first two Canucks wins. Miller stole those games for us... unless you believe being out shot 36-19 and 32-21 not being dominated.

Yeah & in the 2 losses we got out shot as well 38-34 & 30-28, but shots don't count in the standing, it's only points.
I just buy into the negativity that comes from the so called fans of this team.

The question is, have we learned anything, paying anyone because of a career year is a bad idea.
