Yes that's true, but I would have paid $100 if I felt I was getting fair value.

I think you're desperate to move Price because you really have no one else. You need forwards, and it's pretty much Nucker or me to deal with.

I don't have forwards that's true, but Price has been winning the goaltending battle for me all season. I'm not gonna trade him so I start losing the goaltending battle, and continue to lose the scoring battle. It's gotta be something good. And the price is high cause he literally is the best goalie in hockey. And since our league places so much emphasis on goaltending, if one of the top guys get him, they'll run away with a win every week.

I'm not desperate though. He's 27 years old, and I'm willing to wait till some of my younger guys start scoring. Kuznetsov and Horvat are two guys I'm gonna lean on. And I think Ekblad is going to be a stud once the younger guys around him start scoring more too.

If you want to scrutinize even a bit more. Steen has played 61 games on a better team and Wheeler 63 on a team fighting for a playoff spot.

It's hard to trade a guy when you don't know what you have. If he can sustain this level of play over 50-60 games, he's a Vezina caliber goalie.

The If is a huge If though. I traded Holtby at the beginning of the season, and I've regretted it to this day. On that day he was literally a throw in.
