Injuries happen to every team. If you guys had depth you'd be fine but here we are. You should still get a pretty good prospect. Possibly even a top 10 pick - Iloveeveryone
We know we don't have depth. We are also in year 2 of the rebuild. You guys?

Ya good deal for Glencross for you guys. Its giving up in the season but better than letting him walk cause your hopes are (frank)ed now - Iloveeveryone
I think we should have got more looking at the Sekera, Coburn, and Timmonen deals but whatever, I dont know what was offered or anything. MacT said that teams were using Petry as a plan B. I'm slowly starting to care less and less about this team. I went from being a season ticket holder before the lockout to now not even caring whether I see the game on TV or not. I hope Petry does well. He's in a far better situation in Montreal than he was here and I dont blame him for wanting out. Hopefully we can do something good with the picks and replace him in the offseason. - Iloveeveryone
But others also got less.
I kinda got the impression from Mact that Petry would be open to resigning here this summer.

Sounds like you may be a tad upset right now. Hug? - Dangles13
Dude not at all. Listening to you and all the fcks that we'd be in the McEichel sweeps and it turns out its you guys make me think we had a pretty good year. How do you rate the Oiler year?
Sportsnet gave us a D for our deadline today, stating Montreal fleeced us and the Score listed us as one of the draft day losers. Both stating that we held the most valuable dman that got moved today and should have gotten as much or more than was paid for Coburn and Timmonen. - Iloveeveryone
Better than coburn?
No. But that is really neither here nor there. They didn't get offered a package like philly did for coburn..
And I'm not sure trading anyone else was prudent. And what was Mact gonna do if he didn't get better offers for petry?
Market dictates value. I don't understand what these arbitrary grades are based on?what they think he was worth so because Edm didn't reach their expectations, it's a fail?
How does this make sense?

So game one of the playoffs...Fluery lets in 4, you nervous?
And I'll save you the typing,the flames won't be in., - whipper334
Before today I figured the Pens were second round, or MAYBE conference finals, at best. After today, we're one and done. We've got nobody on defense who isbwilking to throw a hit now.

Every time you try to rag on the Oilers it makes me think you might be a bit upset.

Yeah I know wishful thinking - ghostofRC
I don't doubt Jeff said that upon his departure as he knew he was leaving a struggling franchise that drafted and groomed him even thinner and without a ton of options.
But no chance he comes back.
Fuk that guy

Who knows. Maybe he poops the bed in Montreal and prices himself into a 3 million a year contract instead of the 5 he was hoping for. I doubt it happens but you never know. Maybe he blows his ACL or something else tomorrow and only gets PTO offers in the offseason.

Well that works for us. Miss the playoffs all together and give us another shot at McDavid
