you hire larry robinson for alot of money and he develops your d!!! the habs made a mistake taking JJD over him. i love JJD but larry would help develop the guys like tinordi et all better, teach you how to destroy with bg hits and being in position. If im mct im opening a channel to him and say develop my d, ill pay you what you want!

They ARE good, but Nash tends to disappear in the playoffs, and I'm not sold on the defense. They are pretty "soft" for the most part. The biggest reason I hated the Despres trade for the Pens, just park in front of MAF and we've got nobody to move them.

I don't know if Nash disappears per say, his scoring is low but his shots are usually high and his shooting percentage is fairly low, he's rocking a 3.6% or 5 goals on 138 shots in 41 games.

So you are saying management overpayed for those players, and you wanted them to overpay for Petry? He hasn't done (frank) all to earn a big contract so basically you want them to keep him just because he was their best dman (the best of a pile of crap isn't very good) and are pissed about the return saying it's bad management? How is the fact petry isn't that good, and not worth much management's fault? If he is in his prime as you say then they didn't lose out on a guy who has peaked.

It's sad when a guy like Nikitin was going to turn the Oilers down until he got 9 million for 2 seasons. Derek Roy and Olli Jokinen also mentioned they had no interest in Edmonton in the offseason.

That's what worries me. Now it may just be because he has limited appearances, but if your top scorer doesn't score in the playoffs it puts a ton of pressure on the rest of the team.

And who knows how the king is going to be when he comes back.

I was friends with Rick Olczyk when he was with the Oilers and he told me that the Oil had no choice but to overpay guys to come or resign with them, like Shawn Horcoff.

nikitin turned our original efforts down, and waited till he could see what else he got offered. then came back

and i didnt hear that about roy and jokinen. but pretty par for the course.
