Isn't Subban one of the few guys fined for diving this year?
- Oilfan19

maybe theres like 100+ people fined every year. did you also take note the habs are the most penalized team in the league and are given the fewest penalties for....

thats fair... i just want to see some success and better player development. the oilers brand is also being affected. theres so much work to do. but you are right, patience is needed as much as it sucks to say so. theres no quick fix
- munky123

if we could sign a ryan suter or something, that would go a long way bro.
but we cant.

so we wait on nurse and klefbom and hope to steal a trade if possible to speed it up.
iwe have a solid two way guy in our top 4 hitting his prime and he walks on us his first sign of light.

it sucks.

people can guess that it was macts fault, but its every single bit as plausible, if not more imo, that like so many others he just flat out wanted out (or in many cases of outside players--refuse to come here)

you sound like an idiot dude... what like 3 people maybe called the cops.... story blown out of proportion. im actually a oilers fan too b. you dont have to get butt hurt for some comments and wish ill wills on players.... also the debate wether it was a clean hit or not, well is open for debate. Grow up little one...

youre last point sorta agreed with him. he said price was a stud.

anyways, i dont see that team as anywhere near elite without price.
even with, i dont see them beating the elite of the west.

end of the day, it doesnt really matter, cause u DO have price. so be happy with that

- Ihateallofu

like the spanking they gave st louis, or the fact theyve played very well vs the west? minus the bottom rung western teams haha or any of the bottom rung teams.

price is a huge reason, but they play a very good team game and alot of the shots come from the perimeter... easy saves for price.

The development has been better lately, also scouting seems to have improved somewhat as well. Patience is awful but what is one to do while Nurse and the other kids mature?

how about you poll all players in the league 98% of the players would kill to play for the habs. its got the most passionate fans and an incredible media pressence, but with that come some over the top passionate people.... so a few dummies called the cops. they love their players that much. who (frank)ing cares... and i didnt know it breaks te bank to make a phone call to the cops

haha man... people watch some hockey other than the oil.. habs are legit. and you are an idiot if you complain that a teams success is because they have a good goalie. edm would give up hall eberle or the nuge if price were avail... in a heart beat. dont htink otherwise

weve beaten up on a few great times once or twice this year too.
just saying.

a 7 game grind it out series is a whole different animal.

anyways, we'll see bud.
youre gonna like petry. especially since hes gonna be playing in an appropriate role.

hahaha they are the team that corsi people rip their hair out becasue they just defy their numbers.

that said they are a great example of the eye test. they play and win as a team there arennt numbers to quantify that yet

Exactly the reason why most NHLers wouldn't want to play in Montreal or any other Canadian team. In the U.S. they can walk around and no one knows who they are, they get to live in anonymity.

“I hate to say it, but it’s the Canadian teams,” said one agent quoted by Custance. “Vancouver would be the most desirable out of those teams. There’s Winnipeg and Edmonton, Toronto because of all the bad media … and Montreal. Either you love it or hate it.

Doesn't seem like 98% is the right number.

for the most part of course youre right.

but in the case of the dig, i think its an overall perception of french and quebec out west.

i wasnt actually shocked when i heard that some hab fans called the police.
ridiculous and laughable, but not that surprised.

dont take it personally. theres abit more to that dig than just hockey allegiance id assume

they make up the 2 % deep down theyd kill to play in most Canadian markets or original 6 teams, albeit maybe not all their career but at some point for some time.

It all depends on the individual. I'd prefer a cold Canadian or Northern American team to any place on the West coast. After climate I'd probably go for history, play on an original 6 team would be amazing.
