Rangers vs. Chicago - Iloveeveryone
(frank) Chicago....there is bad Karma around that club right now.Rangers yes. If I were to take a guess I would say Anaheim. |

I don't think anyone could turn this team around this summer. The difference between you and the rest of you tards is that I'm not under the illusion that the same clowns that dug this hole deserve more time to fill it. - NEEDSMORHORCOFF
I dont really have any love for Lowe at all, to be honest, I think hes just a coffee boy for Katz now. Firing him makes no impact. And I would like to see Mac T have 1 more year.But...clock is ticking. |

Anaheim has struggled a bit lately and didnt make any moves to upgrade really.
I'll say Tampa and Chicago. Yup. |

No, but there is some sort of tension in that locker room that resulted in a scrap. |

Yet Mactavish deserves more time, right? Obviously this wasn't a bungled situation in your mind. I mean, Mactavish gave Nikitin 4.5 million a year, overpaid ference, and we have Justin "Norris Potential" Schultz, who (frank)ing needs Petry, right?
The "Silver Fox" has a sterling record and deserves at least another year to put his stamp on this team! |

I dont think so either. Toews came out the other day and said the talk was a bunch of crap and Sharp is looking into legal action against whoever started it. On top of that nobody from MSM anywhere has even commented on it at all. |

I'm okay witrh the ferrence signing....as for 2 whole years of Nikitin, it was just throwing mud against the wall hoping it would stick. Not a big deal. We have to over pay in Edmonton. I dont think he earned more time, I think 3 years is an appropriate amount of time to see your plans through. No GM can make an impact to a bad team with much less. |

Sometimes it needs to happen to clear the air. With the leadership they have there I wouldn't be concerned at all. |

You realize MSM has a vested interest in their relationships with the teams, right? Its an unwritten rule than you dont talk about players personal stuff unless it involves the law and a arrest....otherwise they dont even mention it. |

So in your estimation, 3 years is a good metric for a GM? So when the oilers are still a garbage team next season (as you just alluded to yourself), you will be ok with admitting that Mactavish hasn't improved the team, but not until then?
Sound logic. |

Even if its true and the room is pissed at Sharp. They sit his ass in the press box and stick Vermette in his spot who i think is a better two way player anyway. |

What else was MacT supposed to do? Who else does he sign in the offseason last year?? He's doing what he can with what he has. It seems alot of teams don't want to give Oilers top guys for scraps. Go figure. |

Thought we would get more for Petry. He wanted out so it is an ok return. We need a real D at least to start next year. Lots of work for MacT this summer |

Yet the flames were able to sign free agents and stay competitive despite selling off their best players. That's what... Year 2 of their rebuild? Go figure.
Or how about Vancouver? The excuses are endless. |

I think the team is better now, the record doesnt show it, but he has more pieces in place than when he started. You probably dont see this as a better roster, and thats fair, and I expect the team to be garbage.
What I do want to see in the next year is an identity for this team, some sort of system from the coach, and some improved play. Playoffs? No. But improvements. I think I can see where this team is heading in the next few years, am optimistic, and I dont think I could see it 2 years ago.
But yeah, if we are sitting in a loery position by the All Star break Katz and Nicholson should be scouting a new operations department. |

Calgary also started off that rebuild with a Norris candidate and decent D prospects. That 4 months of competitiveness will also cost them a high pick in the deepest draft in years which will hurt the rebuild. Vancouver still has a top goaltender and a solid roster, wasn't a rebuild. Answer my question, who would you of signed last year?? |
