Cause Petry is only overvalued by Oilers fans based on him being the Oilers "best defender" but those same fans failing to put into perspective what best defender on the pooptiest team with the pooptiest defense actually means.

Value is what the market dictates, so in that sense I sorta agree that his value is considered lower due to the factors u mentioned.

But I will say that I think his value league wide is gonna go up now that he's placed in a more appropriate role, on a good team, in front of eastern media.

He was a 13th overall pick and we got him in the 2nd round. It's a good gamble for a second. kid's got skill which the canucks need.
