Dumoulin should be up over Bortuzzo in my mind. - Guile
I think management views getting major minutes in the AHL as better than getting limited minutes in the NHL.

Well, for that I am no longer Dumo's biggest supporter. Pouliot is growing WAY faster than Dumo was up here. Despite Dumo > Pouliot at the start, Pouliot's growth is a much better use of a rookie getting NHL time. - Guile
Oh I definitely agree, what I meant was that Dumo should have been up and playing on Bortz spot. At this time of the year they will play Bortz instead of Dumo solely based on his experience. |

Might be extreme cases, but DET has had good success developing prospects by not rushing them and EDM has been a disaster for the opposite reason. |

when you look at the deals being done in the past week, the Penguins getting Perron for a first is just highway robbery. |

POTD... I don't think we can find something that is a bigger laugh or media screw up.
Well, strike that, POTD until someone screws up worse on a national stage. - Guile
The only reason I would want Phaneuf on our team is so his wife would come to every home game. Damn is she gorgeous. |

Looking at what MacT got for Petry, I think he might just be an idiot.

Rutherford and the Penguins should be a case study for making moves early.
I like most people was questioning the decision of hiring Rutherford before the season started but he has been an absolute breath of fresh air.
The only thing I'll say is that now with the depth we have and guys like Spaling and Bennett being bumped down to the 4th line, Goc would be a better option in that setting but I have a feeling Lappy shows his value in a playoff series.

Meanwhile at work... we are making Ray Rice, Chris Brown, and Ike Turner references regarding why that white and gold dress turned black and blue.

I think Rutherford has been solid so far too, but honestly, looking at some of the recent moves he made in Carolina, healthy skepticism is still warranted on his moves.
