Phaneuf for Beesqua.
That's the deal. - Byfuglien Ate Me
Beesqua has a NTC. He also has made it very clear he wants to be a career Canuck.

So your telling me that you expect a team to add 8 million a year... instantly. I don;t think you have been following the conversation.

I expect that another team either adds 8 million a year or Toronto keeps Kessel. |

I am not totally against that but thats 8 million versus less than 2. Remove Horvat, add Kadri and we are in the neighborhood.

I mean, what exactly is Kessel? Do you truly believe he is worth that much? I mean truly... not this fantasy crap. No single player is worth that.
I see him as a sniper but not the last piece of the puzzle. He is not Patrick Kane.
You need to face it that the $$$ is as important as the players and he is overpaid. That needs to be taken into account. - Beatle_john
If Kessel was always with the hawks and kane wss with the leafs youd say kane was no kessel |

Lets add Nylander and Brown just to be fair.
Kassian, 2nd for Kessel, Kadri, Nylander, Brown. looks fair!
all jokes aside Phil would probably put up 50 on the Sedins line. If there were actually serious talks, which is highly unlikely, It would start with Virtanen, Tanev, and a 1st |

Well, statistically he is basically Patrick Kane that is a better ES% (Points and shots) player with a somewhat comparable Corsi Rel and makes 2.5 million less for essentially the same play over the last 3-4 seasons. Kane plays on a better team. Kessel is placed on a line with 2 other defensive disasters.
Don't see how Kessel is overpaid when he makes less than all of the elite point getters he compares to or surpasses minus guys on deals signed previous to the 8 figure deals of the talented Chicago head office.
Just wait til Patches, Stamkos and so on start making more than Kessel and judge the contract again.
My asking price would be much more fair than the other guys, but it's still steep.
2015 1st, 2015 2nd, Bo Horvat, and Vrbata for Kessel, a 2015 4th and Petter Granberg |

I don't know him from a hole in the wall, but it looks like he was a 6/7 guy on the Bolts.
I'm just surprised Philly is selling off - they are still close to a playoff spot, and they usually have a good late-season surge. |

He's had injury issues this season, physical 5-6 dman on a good team.
Gudas was the Bolts #3 guy last year. Nothing flashy, nothing great. Plays the game hard. He's out for pretty much the rest of the year so it makes sense to trade him if you're a playoff team I guess.
He's sort of Luke Schennish. About the same age, is actually more physical, and has a bit more offense to his game. More like Polak, actually. |
