"There are other teams..."
Yea so the (frank) what? - rangerdanger94
I wasnt talking talking about the Rangers, but I suppose it could apply if they win it all. On a side note....I dont see a western Team winning it this year. |

I doesn't matter... according to many Leaf fans on here last night, the Leafs defense is terrible... when playing in front of Bernier... so they'll be terrible in front of Reimer tonight as well.....
meaning whatever happens Reimer will get blamed. - BorjeFan4Ever
Yep, those goals were on the D last night, especially the second one. |

now that they have added Yandle, and are apparently signing the Hobbit....
who are they walking away from... cause they won't be able to sign Hagelin, St. Louis and Stepan? - BorjeFan4Ever
We have $13.5M cap space left to sign those 3 players. I think we can get it done. |

Which has literally only ever happened once.
The Rangers have one of the best records in the league and they proved they are a playoff team last year. They are built for the playoffs and their goaltending is spectacular. They're definitely favorites coming out of the East. - JohnFergusonJr
doesn't matter how good their record is. All I said was just because you'e 1st in the east doesn't mean you're automatically going to win the (frank)ing Cup.
If they're (frank)ing built for the playoffs, and goaltending is great, wtf is stopping them. I never said they aren't favorites, but there are other teams that are also built for the playoffs and have great goaltending.
Win the Cup, then talk about how your team is built and how good your goaltending is. |

nope... not quite. you have 13.5 before signing the Hobbit, which will leave you about 8.9... then subtract Yandle's 3.5(2 mill retained).... so 5.4 to sign those Hagelin, St. Louis and Stepan. |

Interesting to see the Leafs lineup tonight. See who they sit may indicate who may be moving by tomorrow. We must get this loss in the books tonight, with the possibility of assets being moved for draft picks tomorrow. |

Reimer is rusty, we need the loss badly, I am also hoping we healthy scratch a few people like Polak, Lupul etc

We've been a really good team all year long and we just got better. Hence our chances to win the Cup, which were already decent, just improved as well.
Yes, none of this matters once the playoffs start. But typically, teams that do well all year long go further in the playoffs. |

Has there ever been a move that Eklund didn't think was a great move/fit for both/win-win/brilliant? |

What? Well I suppose they should get rid of 28 of the teams on this site and just have Kings/Hawks Buzz then.... |

Wtf is your point dude?
Rangers are a stanley cup contender before this trade and just got a lot better. This is what stanley cup contenders do, they take risks and go for it. We have a good record, an experienced team that's succeeded to certain extents in the playoffs, and we just got better. There happy? - rangerdanger94
You don't want them them to win. Too anticlimactic. You'll just get depressed within the year. |

Just goes to show you how when your window is open, you need to go for it. It could be decades before you get another chance. God knows its been half a century since the Leafs had a legit chance. |

I really hope you guys do win the Cup this year, because you need to.
Never once have I said the Rangers are not contenders, but I did say there are other teams, and a couple morons laughed, but it's true. Monteal has had a great season, Tampa has had a great season, Pittsburgh. You guys aren't the only once, hence the "there are other teams" . |

Without him and Clarkson we will be needing in the dumb penalty department. |
