That would be a bad decision. Build from the net out. Not the other way.... Hanifin- Rielly would be solid for you guys. - Zinner21
So, if Edmonton is #3, and McEichel are gone, Edmonton should select Hanifin?

What if we're picking at #5, and McDavid, Eichel, Strome, and Hanifin are gone already....would you want Zacha over Marner? - The Shrike
no |

Basics of rumored deal is Yandle to #NYR with Duclair and a first going back to #Coyotes. Gotta figure there's more to this. - MCharisma91

Ya I'm hoping for strome tbh - DarcyTucker16
Maybe we can trade Kessel to the Islanders for Ryan Strome + afterwards |
|
|
|
But if you give up a first it would have to be next year, which would mean no first rounder three years in a row... bad times unless you bring home Lord Stanley - lumlums
Yea, Rangers suck at drafting in the 1st round anyway though. We could flip Zucc for a 1st or 2nd possibly. |

East is quite open this year so I can see them ending up in the finals again. |

still need that centre though - DarcyTucker16
I havent looked too much into next years draft but you could probably land a centre in 2016. That way hanifin/Rielly are a year older and further in their deveopment. That would be more ideal than loading up on talent up front then waiting for D prospects to develop. You'd end up like the Oilers if you did that. |

If that's what MacTavish is going to do, he should keep it close to the vest, then trade their #3 for Toronto's #4 +, since the Leafs will take Strome.
That's a free asset to add to the cookie jar.

Phaneuf for Bennett would fix that problem too.
