Manning - ob18
My thoughts get as well.
U think a young guy gets a shot if they deal one more? Leave Carlo in the press box? |

Does anyone know if William Shatner gave the eulogy at Leonard Nimoy's funeral? |

I suspect that's what's going on. So essentially he's a luke Schenn who plays better and makes less.. - Hextall271

Hypothetically say the Flyers pick is # 10, and the TB pick is 25 or so.... If the Flyers were to package them, is that enough to get them into the top 5? |

He plays about the same level. I've never seen him as much more than a 3rd pair guy, but who knows? He's very physical. |

I liked Gudas what little I saw of him. He played like a mean SOB, and that's what we need on this blueline . Just not sure when or if he comes back this year - 3flyerkids
It's highly doubtful we see him until next season. |

Could be. Definitely helps sweeten the pot. |

I will say, I am in the sell club. Organic growth, build through the draft and all that kum-bah-yah. Which I don't see in the same line as tanking.
However, it is sad to see him and Kimmo go though. The returns are nice, but I will remember both players fondly.
With the rebuild set, you just have to hope Giroux and to a lesser extent Voracek are still elite players by the time this thing is done. That will be the challenge now. |

That's a good question, but I'd rather they just use both picks
They really need more talent in the system, multiple pieces |

Hedy will deal G next citing a need to clean out the last of the winners on the team.
Really start from scratch |

That's another reason why I hope they use the picks. By the time this thing is done, they are probably not gonna be what they are now and will need more support |

Can you say highway robbery??!!
I cant believe we got Gudas, 1st and 3rd for Coby.
I think this means the end of Luke Schenn. Gudas is what Luke Schenn wishes he was. |

I think alot of people here would have been happy to just get a 1st rd pick. |

Maybe but I doubt it. There seems to be a drop off from the top 5 to the next group and every one of those teams in the top 5 need a star to help the rebuild.
IMO McDavid, Eichel, Strome, Marner, and Hanifin are a group onto themselves. |

Certainly not a bad deal by any means. Don't love it, don't hate it. Sure glad that he wasn't traded for a couple of second round picks like some suggested in the past though. |

Remember too, that once Hexy feels that he has most of the pieces in place (to me the main pieces are legit 1 and 2 dmen, then he may look at advancing the window by trading some of the prospects for established guys who can contribute. I'm sure he saw how Lombardi executed it, and will do the same here.. can't build that way, but supplement the core with wise acquisitions.. that way G and Jake are 35 by the time we have a team that can win. |

That would be pretty tempting.
Just read the Rangers are haven't had a first round pick since 2012, and aren't scheduled to make one until 2017. I believe 10 players on their roster are under 30 tho, so they aren't exactly in dire straights. |

You are gonna like Gudas a lot. Plus he is cheaper, younger and we got picks. Flyers won this deal |

You don't love it? I could not have expected to get more for Coburn although I liked him here as a player. |
