Just read the Habs board. They seem fine with it.

Because McDavid is better than Eichel. I want the best. If We don't get McDavid I will be disappointed we lost out on him to a stupid lottery system.

Yea, I guess. But he is on what pairing? I just dont know that I would have gave that much, cause from what I have seen is those long contracts kill the player at some point (most dont seem to work, or people want out of contract sooner than later). We will see what happens, but I do like him and wanted Murray to take a swing at him before the Isles did, so whatever.

The cap hit is 5.5 per yr. If you think that's too much you haven't watched him play. He was an RFA but if we didn't pay him someone else would have paid him more for longer. Also set a precedent for Boychuck.

I think its more of the "cmon just one time can buffalo get what everyone wants" syndrome. I fall victim to it as well. I want mcdavid. I will be disapointed even though i feel like eichel is really not that far behind mcdavid if at all..

I will be happy with eichel, disapointed that we potentially finish last two years in a row and dont pick 1st either time.

Because we are hands down the worst team in the NHL for two years now. We want the number 1 pick. We as Buffalo fans feel we deserve that. McDavid is the best player in the draft simple as that.

Although I wont be terribly upset with Eichel. Now if we get the 3rd or 4th pick thats when I will start crying

Sounds good, as long as you like it, cause I don't really mind the cap hit cause it i not ours. He looks good, but I only watched a couple games of his, but I did want him on my team.
