I don't get why everyone wants to trade our prospects D who have shown they can play NHL now, minus Harrington (next year) for a three month rental that has 23 points in 51 games. This is why our system is depleted. I understand the win now, but we need these guys next year on their ELCs as well.

JR wasn't brought in to fix your prospect depth. He was brought in to win. Now.

Then good luck acquiring anyone of any value if you won't give up THOSE.

I don't want him. He is a 2nd-3rd line tweener. Not worth it at all.

Thought he was here to just add some milk of magnesia and a few depth players

Then what the heck DO you want? Because you're going to have to give up value to get value back...

Can you guys just take Adams and Scuds as a veteran presence for him? And ignore the LNTC on Scuds, i'll pretend he'll go.

Not Tlusty, all we have to do is replace the black hole on the third line that is the Sutternebula. Bring in Bergenheim, Winnik, whoever as long as they aren't named Sutter.

Bc adding one guy who is labeled soft? Please explain how when you have 4 balanced lines of grit and scoring a soft playoff team...

Not being a d*ck but that team would get its ass handed to it. If I need to explain that to you, no sense in typing much more of a response.

Winnik's asking price doesn't seem to be to much less than Tlusty's and Winnik provides very limited offence.

2 depth forwards who aren't perimeter players like Lupul, Hemsky, Tlusty, etc. Moving Sutter should yield one, and maybe a mid round pick should get another. No Sutter, Sill, or Adams on the roster gives the team a chance.

They produce almost the same. Tlusty is a perimeter player, also not a center to replace Sutter.

I've learned to live with Adams as he won't go anywhere, although I would call up Rust, Wilson or Farnham 12/10 times over Adams. Sutter leaving would be a huge upgrade alone. EVERY player is better when they are away from him.

No... hell no. Horny was outscoring Neal heavily until the injury plague. I'd keep him here absolutely.

Okay, but if you're already having to give up a 2nd round pick or more for Winnik, or even more for Bergenheim... both of whom are pretty much exclusively 3rd liners...

If they haven't tired it by now, with 20 games left I don't think they will.

Crap, that was June of last year. I need to look at these "trade rumor" sites more carefully.

Bergenhein and Winnik aren't centers either. And I wouldn't call Tlusty a perimeter player. Most his goals are scored from in close. Plays a lot like Fedotenko did

Pfft.... They shoved Gibbons on the 1st line in the playoffs last year. They'll try anything

Sutter can swap to either team. Both are looking to get younger (FLA mainly) and he still has a year after this which Florida has enough cap to accommodate.

Basically FLA loses a player they don't have a use for anymore, for Sutter until after next season.

Asking price on Bergenheim is a 3rd rounder. Toronto can ask for a 2nd+, but I doubt they'll get it. Either way, I'd prefer either of those two as I think their games translate far better for the postseason than Tlusty. Unless Tlusty is gonna play 3C (and he probably could better than Sutter), he is an unnecessary player. Which means GMJR will probably foolishly acquire him for too much.
