Berg trade was a steal but we couldn't have dont anything about it because of his cap hit. If he was to be traded here it would involve a player with a similar cap hit going the other way. Like Scuderi, Kuni or Sutter.

Huge game today, hope we can play actual hockey instead of going after ovechkin.

Trading kuni for berg would be terrible. You don't go after ov you go after backstrom all night just finish your checks every chance you get.

Lupul isn't that great. Gifted, but not what I would want in a bigger pickup. JVR is more like it.

I agree. Only thing I want from Toronto is JVR.

Why couldn't JR have gotten Berg -_-
- Guile

For cap reasons. Florida didn't want any $ going their way. They wanted prospects or picks. We would've had to make a separate deal first for a guy thats work ethic had been questioned by his last 2 coaches.

I have no issue dumping Sutter off somewhere, like Calgary, for crumbs just to get Berg.

I agree about playing Backstrom hard. He's the 1 that makes the Caps offence go

And he's not 6"3 230. Ov is hard to hit clean you usually take the brunt of it. I'd probably put lappy out with him and say go get under his skin. Of course that's until they start getting opportunities to score

I wouldn't either. And I don't like Glencross at all, but at least his contract is up this year. Pens are stuck with the Blackhole for another year.

Tonight is the night for Lappy to prove he deserves to play, 1st shift chop off either Backstrom or Ovi's foot.

That's my thought minus the chopping off the foot. Go get them off their game it's kind of why we acquired him.

F Sutter

He's a bull. He's not going to drop the gloves and you're reallly not going to get the better of him in a hit so might as well go after the man who gets him the puck. Just my thought on it
