I thought NJ would surprise this season. It's a very sad season when Lou brags about an acquisition like Gomez. He should have been trading Jagr-Zidlicky-Ryder weeks ago. Maybe in the next few days.

there's not an abundance of talent on that roster. kind of a weird mishmash. thought they'd battle for a WC though. |

Really?
I actually thought they would be worse than they are. Schneider is the only difference between them and Buffalo....well....except Buffalo has a bright future. |

It was mostly due to terrible lineup choices made by Deboer. He regularly benched Larsson for Peter (frank)ing Harrold or mark Fraser. Puting bernier in a top 6 role and Brunner on the fourth line. Salvador and gionta on the pk  |

Each year there a re surprises and my guess was NJ being one of them. Vancouver is the opposite of that - I thought they would sink. |

Dude...your leading scorer has 31 points. You have one guy with more than 12 goals.
Deboer is not the issue....lack of talent is. But, if this was 2003 it would be a great roster. |

Having the slowest players and the smallest players on the pk was also a disaster. It was at 69% at one point. It was awful. |
