You know Sekac is scoring next Thursday, right? He will be on the first line with Getzlaf and Perry. - hscesq
I will be at that game expecting people to cheer when Smith-Pelly scores not realizing he plays for the other team.. |

Send him to Hamilton for a year in AHL. Still could pick up DSP for a pick or Thomas or someone.. - BingoLady
I think if he were sent to the AHL he would bolt back to KHL; this could have been part of the problem with keeping him, too. |

Maybe his contract stated that he couldn't be sent down. |

Guess the Habs are going for it.
Giving up a kid with unlimited upside for a third line grinder. - yemrots
Think Byfuglien is available?
Make this a mixed race team.
Could also be great for our Poutine Economy. Especially with the cheese mafia hitting it hard recently.. |

in the grand scheme of things I don't think this trade changes much.
I know Smith Pelley and a decent playoffs a couple of years ago or last year I don't remember but maybe they're just hoping he can be more of a factor then than Sekac would have been.
SO LONG SO LONG JIRI SEKAC WE HARDLY KNEW YOU!!!!! - basementfloor
According to DB Pelley is 50 lbs heavier |

47 lbs more and 100+ hits than Sekac.
DSP will have an impact on this team. |

Not sure what to think of this trade. Thought there was an upside to Sekac outside of the sound of his skates |

exactly what I thought when I selected that kid Connor 1st overall but it didn't pan out and now I'm thinking a change of scenery on another team might do everyone some good. |

Multiple teams wanted this guy, he chose the habs, then they trade him after 50 games? Classy. - GardinerExpress
