People were critical of his lack of ice time and the fact he did not play on the penalty kill or against top lines.
That cannot be said anymore.
In the last 20-30 games, not sure anyone has been clearly better, but he did not have a great start to the season.
I think he is in the discussion, not sure he gets nominated.

i think it will take a few years for him to be recognized with Doughty/Weber/Keith etc. it seems like there was a ton of backlash against him after he won the Norris. after that happened, his game was picked apart like you rarely see. the guy barely even made the Olympic team and even then, he couldnt get ice over Dan Hamhuis or Marc Edouard Vlasic. |
