The only downside is that Miller must go on IR. If he is only gone for a week or so then they have to either call up a goalie not subject to waivers or pick up a replacement. Bryzgalov will work out sitting on the bench for a week or two (so would Vancouver's AHL's no.2 I guess though. - Steven_Dean
No downside because there is no more reentry waivers |

I think he would prefer 12 quarter pounders with extra cheese.

Like traded for a Big Mac, or just coming to town to eat one? Both are very possible scenarios. |

Let me guess, next Eklund inside report is going to be about Lupul being on the block. Wait for it... |

These sounds like Panic mode moves.
I think if anyone is panicking right now its the Boston Bruins. Florida is breathing down Bostons neck right now. And I think the loss of Krejci hurts Boston more than the loss of Miller for the Canucks. I just think Vancover has great goalie depth and the Canucks play a great two-way game. On the other hand the Panthers just keep winning games they shouldn't. They are gunning for that wild card birth in the playoffs. Now come to think of it, I've never seen a bear and a panther fight before but I don't think I'd want to, it think it would be brutal on both sides. But, this is going to be a fight for that last wild card spot and its going to be brutal. But saying that, I do not think Vermette is the game changer that replaces David Krejci. If they do look at Vermette it would be a long term type of move for their bottom six rather then a crisis stop gap. I look more to a David Booth, Jiri Tlusty type player for the short term here. |

I've seen a ton of bears and panthers fight, as I used to run an endangered species fighting ring just outside of Ketchikan, Alaska. Trust me, bears kick the crap out of panthers almost 93% of the time. |

Neuvirth? Are you kidding me! He is a UFA at the end of the season and the Canucks have goaltending depth in Markstrom etc. Even if they did make a deal which is unlikely, it won't be for a pick or prospect. |

Why go after Neuvirth when we have Markstrom ready?
Makes absolutely no sense.

But the real question is, which destination team did the dart hit. |
