Right, I saw that a few times.
Ok, him and I wonder how much Jarome Arthur-Leigh Adekunle Tig Junior Elvis Iginla would cost? - pete26
Oh right, Iginla. I don't think he would be too much but i'd imagine he's tired of changing teams. |

Somebody on that team has to.
Side note, I had someone argue with me the other day that Jarome Iginla has been a better player over his career than Jaromir Jagr.
Also thought Iggy should be in the HOF and Jagr shouldn't. |

i wasn't even talking about that hit. i don't remember it well enough. i was talking about last night. he got the elbow out and Eller didn't have the puck. Eller is a moron who need to be more aware though, i agree. - DoubleDown
This too...
I have more of an issue with last night's attempted elbow to the head than I did with the hit that actually knocked him out... |

How many poop teams do we play in the playoffs?
How about we all STFU and treat this like the non issue that it is.
They have to lose some games during the year. If they lose against the powerhouses then you would all be complaining that they'll never survive in the playoffs.
Also, my sources have told me MT is planning on playing Price for a few games duribg the playoffs... |

If Jagr isn't HOF worthy, who is? |

just floating this for fun, please don't crucify me.........
since you guys seem to need offense and possession players, what about a deal like:
weircioch and michalek
for
parenteau (salary dump) and 2015 1st (which is likely 25 or later) |

No way we give up a first in a trade that doesn't involve us getting a star player back.
In my opinion, considering his last two seasons, Michalek isn't far from being in the "salary dump" category if Parenteau is. |

Apparently Jagr is "Lazy and selfish" and not what a hockey player should strive to be.

Don't think Bergevin will move hist first and if he does, it better be for a top player. It's supposed to be a deep draft. |

fair enough..............i'm just looking at michalek the last couple of months, and he's finally healthy and starting to produce........more importantly, he's producing on the PP.
as for the 1st, considering where you guys are in the standings, and considering that there is almost zero chance your 1st is outside of the 20's.....i can't imagine you're getting a "star player" for that.
michalek and weircioch are both still under 30, signed to reasonable deals with not a ton of term.......and both address needs that you have.
like i said, just floating for fun. |

Two bums for a 1st rounder The only plus would be dumping Parenteau but then we'd have Michalek's contract to live with. |

wow......that guy is clearly dumb (concerning hockey). jagr spent 2-3 years in the KHL (during his "late prime") and will still likely be the 3rd leading scorer all time. had he played those 3 years in the NHL, he would almost certainly only trail gretzky (albeit very distantly) in career pts. |

I said the 1st wouldnt be given away unless it was in a trade for a star player, not necessarely one for one.
I just don't see either of the players you mentionned as enough of an improvement, if improvement at all, to give up on a 1st rounder when Mr. Timmins has been doing such a good job drafting for our team. |

i still maintain that both players would be very good in montreal......maybe the 1st (especially this year) is a little too much. figured the fact that you could dump parenteau made up the difference. |
