Had a couple of beers with Charlie Simmer yesterday. He's a color guy for the Flames now. I asked him the same question.

His response was the Flames are looking at the future more than this year. Getting to the first round and getting swept in 4 does nothing for them. Glencross and Wideman are both on the block.

The goals for/shots for ratio when he's on the ice is worse than Rene Bourque's.
