habs are already very good at keeping the puck out of the net......it seems like it's the offensive and puck possession game that needs help. polak doesn't help that at all, and if anything, probably makes it worse.

this is my thinking. i think there's a reason St. Louis unloaded him and a bonehead like Nonis scooped him up.

I wouldn't give my 2nd that easily

i do wonder what Yandle would cost. i would think a first and Beaulieu to start. it would be really disappointing to move Beaulieu just as he's starting to develop into a good player.

Thing is, Beaulieu will never be half the player Yandle is.

i think he's a good bottom pairing guy, who can play on the PK......certainly not a guy i'd want anywhere near my top 4.....and if he is in the top 4, it's as the #4, paired with a puck mover.

he's a dime a dozen guy.....ottawa has 3-4 guys just like him right now (boro, gryba, phillips, and cowen.....although cowen likely has more upside).......all are 5/6/7 guys who look terrible when taken off hte bottom pair.....as polak would.

Emelin out 6 weeks. No word of PK yet outside of Melrose's fracture tweet. Gonchar put on IR?

People who want him say it's because the habs need "someone to protect Price".

As if having Polak (or Douglas Murray at the time) would change anything to the fact that a nutjob like Kreider can dive into him at any given moment.

The weirdest part is that in 140-some career games, Kreider has crashed into five separate goalies (Price, Halak, Anderson, Fleury, Fasth), gotten only 2 minor penalties and zero suspensions. Clearly, through experience, he has learned that this is permitted and condoned behaviour.

Still a decent puck moving D to have in your lineup.

Lupul: "What are we going to just restart with a whole complete group with four guys next year and just try and finish last?"

Was on the fence, but with Dan's story, I want him in Montreal.

Oleg Petrov is still in town, and my friend saw Valeri Bure this weekend at a hockey tournament near Quebec City. We just need to convince Koivu to come back and we can resurrect the Smurf line

I think those guys have already reached their ceilings in the NHL.

I really liked Bournival when he came in, but he hasn't really improved...and in some areas, he's even regressed. That's unfortunate 'cos he seems like a good kid.

A bit like Dumont...a few years back he came in and did ok...and in the words of DT, it's been caca ever since.
