Bennett might get better. Sutter is overpaid and has already reached his potential. - jfkst1
and I might become the President of the Maldives in the next election.
That is like saying a .098 batter might get better. Chances are he will. He can't get worse, can he? |

Success breeds success. And success trickles down from the top. Crosby and Malkin can't be this quiet the rest of the year. It just won't happen. When those two get going, the rest of the team will follow suit. - hardnosed
i just wish i saw some sign from 87 to actually inspire the confidence that this was the case.
malkin really isnt putting up numbers right now, but watching him tonight, he is involved. |

Do we have a scoring chance stat tracker somewhere? I would love to see how we compare to last year... I feel like we have A LOT more chances and just poop luck |

I'm counting on Crosby and Horny being reunited. Has to happen. It defies all logic that it hasn't happened yet. |

Bennett doesn't play worse than his contract. Sutter plays much worse than his contract. |

its things like that which really (frank) me up.
for a long time with this organization, certain things have just been so painfully obvious to virtually everyone except the people who get to make the decisions. |

This team needs a CAPTAIN! Someone vocal that can inspire! Sid's had all the success in the world but doesn't seem to inspire this team! Malkin appears to possibly be able to but they need someone to stand up and make noise! Down by 1 to a team out of the playoffs right now, with lots of injuries and no one is talking on that bench!
EDIT:
Right as I typed this Malkin's line scored! |

Preach it.
What bothers me is that before the season started, people talked about wanting some mid-season adversity so the team wasn't coasting towards the playoffs. They talked about wanting the team to have low expectations.
Well, we've got adversity in spades, and low expectations. Primed for a run by some people's logic.
Me, I'm not happy with some things. There's stuff going on with the team that I don't understand. But ultimately, I choose to believe until they lose their last game, or better yet until they win their last game.
It's way more fun that way.
It's also one of the reasons I hate fancy stats, beyond their flawed premises and questionable meaningfulness. They add to the Internet-fomented urge by fans to tear down their own players. It didn't use to be like that. - hardnosed
Were absolutely on the same page. And you know it too, the ones who wanted it, can't handle it and have conveniently forgotten. We're not blind to what's going on, but we're not going to panic when we have the kind of players most teams dream of having.

I agree. Everyone wants to keep Perron with Crosby but Hornqvist has done little to make me think he will fit with Malkin.

Boom. - hardnosed
now we just need something similar from crosby.
for them to both score in the same game right now would be huge. |

A clown is bringing up Fleury and his "play-off problems" and using a shootout loss to Chicago as an example on why he can't be trusted. Even Stevie Wonder, or someone blind, knows MAF isn't the problem. He wasn't the problem during last year's play-offs either. So ... please learn the game, or open your eyes, or think before posting. Your delusions open yourself to being blasted.

i really just wish they would split up crosby and kunitz. kunitz really shows little drop off with malkin.
but, if that wont happen, at this point in time i would rather perron and hornqvist swapped than nothing at all. |

So please help me if I'm so delusional - do you even listen or watch other teams play hockey - listen to sports casters around the league - how many agree with you that Fleury was or is a big game goalie?? NONE. In Vegas we love people like you who think and bet with your heart not your head. When you turn 21 please come to Vegas and bring your money. We would love to take it and help you grow up. I will even personally buy you a Pizza - any kind you want.
Can't wait to read your posts and talk to you after the playoffs so you can use all your great knowledge and tell me why the Pens didn't win the cup and why Fleury was not the issue. Just like the last five years. Maybe he'll have another kid who will keep him up or he'll be tired or ???
