glencross is only getting older and slower, what we really need is komorov out of toronto, he would help our team immensely i think - JLT168
I've seen like parts of two Calgary games this season, so I'll take your word for it.
One thing that happens when you get older and have kids, is that the number of hockey players you really know about shrinks lol. |

i'm kind of meh on sutter. i feel like his play right now doesnt reflect his overall play, but there is no doubt he has been awful lately. - SuperHenderson13
How do you feel about him being the worlds biggest smelliest vage? |

Screw it, Glencross for Sutter... gets Sutter off the books faster, don't resign Glen if we don't want him? |

Not sure what a big deal with Edm or Car would look like, but I think an interesting idea is if we deal Martin for a Forward with the condition we already have a deal in place to move Sutter for a Dman.
You get something of value for Martin without thinning our defense. Sutter for a 4-5 dman should be doable.

Did he take any guesses at what those might be? Because what would be reasonable big trades with those teams? Carolina would have to be one of the Staals for it to be considered a big trade. And Edmonton would have to be Hall or Eberle, maybe Yakupov, but I am not sure that even qualifies as a big trade. I just don't see those being very reasonable trades, and anything else I wouldn't consider big. - PensFan1103

Go figure.
Like I said big trade with either of those two teams just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. |

That actually not too bad. Something along the lines of Martin to LA for Williams or Chicago for Sharp. Then Sutter+ to Edm for Petry or to Car for Sekera. |

Martin would have to waive to go to EDM/CAR. Good luck with that. |

yeah, doesn't mortgage our future. Just make some hockey trades, shake the team up and see what happens. |

Sign MacIntrye to a one day contract next week and just have him beat OV/GYN's steroids-ridden brain to a pulp. |

The sad part is that it will happen. I just hope Pittsburgh is not the team to give it to him. - PensFan1103
I don't know how anyone can't view him as a major cap hit waste. I compared him to the current top 20 teams' 3Cs. Here's how he ranks:
Relative Corsi- dead last at 20th, Corsi%- 18th, pts./60- tied at 17th, salary- 14th.
Don't forgot, this is the BEST he has played for the Pens. He is gonna kill the team again in the postseason.

Didn't say Martin to Edm or Car. I don't think a big trade is needed. 2 separate hockey trades, maybe neither is even with Edm or Car. |

Carolina doesn't want Sutter. They've got one of the top analytics guys in the business working for them... Everyone knows what Sutter is and Carolina wants to get bigger. |

Ahh got it. Still, Martin would have to waive. But I like where you're going with this. Seems like a lot of extra work though for GMJR and the cap team. I think if we get anything out of CAR it will be Sekera. |

I agree with you up until the again part. He hasn't really killed the Pens in the postseason before. Last year he was our 3rd best forward in the playoffs and the year before he wasn't very good, but he didn't kill us. |

Yeah, when he was getting killed so bad they had to have Jokinen and Neal babysit him. He was great in the 2013 playoffs too; 2g, 2a, 40.6CF%. |

CAR is asking for a 1st and a prospect for Sekera right now. May have to package Jay McClement with him to get that, but unless the roster player is young (Read: 22 or younger) I don't think Francis has a ton of interest in acquiring one. |
