Ah, sorry about that, was only joking. Pretty amazing the bonds people form with their pets. My grandmother had a fall when she was alone and her dog came to her and helped her stand up - bezz44 .
I'm not a cat person either, but I do have a dog. It is my belief dogs are much more loyal pets. If a dog owner were to die with nobody around; a dog will protect the body. If the same thing were to happen with a cat owner; the cat will start to eat the body once it gets hungry. Pretty telling attributes if you ask me....

I'd prefer to keep Matthias, even at 2.5 for 3 yrs. (obviously without any sort of ntc). Especially if we move burrows in the next year or so. While not the same type of player, Matthias is someone who can move up and down the lineup at multiple positions. - noisewater
Agreed, but keep Burrows and lose Higgins. |

I do think he's a better GM today than he was 2-3 years ago. Plus NYI has decent scouts. |

We have 2 cats and I would trade them both for a dog in a second but we live in a condo and a dog needs a yard. |

I thought that it was because she is intimidated by our superior intellects, but I am beginning to have my doubts... - CubanBuffet
I like a comment from her here and there but if you make too many posts and involve yourself too much in the conversation you become kind of a troll blogger. She is not even close to that. I personally resect her opinion as well as her ability to use others opinions to create her blogs. She takes the time to read the comments picks out the decent stuff and is able to skim through the rest of our garbage. We have our on and off days for sure. She probably skips Tuesdays though. |

Would you guys trade Matthias for a 2nd if he's demanding something like 2.5M or 3M per over 3 years on his next deal? - Nucker101
I think 2.5 is a fair value. Higgins makes that. I would rather let go Higgins |

Yeah he is, but picking in the top 5 for 5 years helps, 2nd rnd top 5, 3rd rnd top 5, you get where I'm going. |

Islanders are going all in this year. Players like Dorsett will provide the edge they need in the playoffs. If it makes you feel Better then swtich Higgins with Mathias and add a pick. Nelson is stuck there behind a deep set of centers and with Ho Sang coming up they will need to make space. Ho Sang is more suited for the 3lc role that leaves Jt at 1LC Grabo at 2, Baily at 3 and Ho Sang at 4lc for next year. |

Then I hope they trade him. Will miss his hitting though. - hillbillydeluxe
Alberts threw big hits while making half of what Sbisa does yet he was a whipping boy here. Sbisa would be passable in a 6/7 d-man role making 1M, but not at the 2M+ he currently makes and will need to be offered to retain his RFA rights. His agent would be stupid not to accept the qualifying offer. |

Nelson gives them a much better chance to win now and the future than Dorsett and Higgins. Garth Snow would hang up laughing. Nelson also plays the wing BTW.
Ho-Sang hasn't even played a professional game yet so he's no sure thing. And they'd definitely move Bailey or Grabovski before Nelson.
