I hate AC/DC with a passion. When I was in high school in Kamloops (an AC/DC town if there ever was one) I was working at a gas station and we were listening to the radio. It was a request show, and they had just played their third AC/DC song in a half hour, so I called in. They asked my request and I said please, for the love of God, no more AC/DC. They aired my call and the hate that came pouring in was unbelievable. People love them some AC/DC. - CubanBuffet
sorry to hear your experience was not as anticipated. There are always going to be subpar shows of course...but what I've read, Ac/Dc has an excellent record in providing monster shoes. So not sure what happened with you. Maybe Angus got stuck in his guitar case |

Heard Scotty Rintoul discussing this on ten 1040 tonight on my way home for the bar.
I dont doubt it one bit. People wanna be in a nice location, with a competetive team, and not take to much heat during their unsuccessful moments.
I'd love to play in markets like LA, Anaheim, Tampa.
Beautiful whether, not too high on the sports radar, And are competetive. |

I've never seen them live, you couldn't pay me to. Just not a fan of the band. |

Ahh no worries... with AcDc there is one way to seem that is : LIVE... just a completely different experience even when cranking it up on a super audio setup or what have you. I know they will live up to that standard, for sure, but I'm just wondering how the new material will come across (again, disclaimer - I love AC/DC) |

The problem with AC/DC, also Alice Cooper, is that in concert they use so much echo and reverb that a good tribute band can really sound like the real thing.

LOL!
I want Jason what'shisname from Edmonton. If they start to gain points and start to catch up, I bet we could get what'shisname for cheap as they will be putting on a fire sale. |

Watched "Modern Family" tonight. They made the joke "Chicago Black Cocks". I thought to myself, I have watched hockey for 40 years and never thought of that and now I will never be able to hear the name again without thinking about this. |

I just traded Nail Yakupov as a throw in and he is on like a 6 game point streak I should not be the GM of any team. So I guess I'll be heading the Leafs soon |

Road Trip:
1. Rangers : Loss in OT 1/2 points
2. Islanders: Loss 1/4 points
3. Devils: Win 3/6 points
4. Boston: Win 5/8 points (Lack in Net)
5. Sabres: Win 7/10 points
I see 6 or 7 points on this trip. Boston could go either way. It will be a low scoring game 2 - 1.
Look for Miller to get a Shut*** against the Sabres. and maybe against the Devils. - Beatle_john
With our D core decimated it could shape out:
1. Loss in reg.
2. Loss in reg.
3. Win in reg.
4. Loss in reg.
5. Win in reg.
I really don't see more than 4 pts coming our way if that. Gonna be a battle hopefully the team is up to it.

lols, damn str8... bush parties, beer/ whiskey and AC/DC... what were you thinking... them would be some fighting words back in the day. - kaptaan
I concur, I'm from a northern town and it's like that here. AC/DC, JD, Kokanee, Hoes, and I've seen nights where there's been at least 150 fights at a pit party
Just the way we get down in a hick town. |

Very true. Live is the way to go with this band. Was fortunate enough to see them in the heyday on the FTATR tour and it was exceptional. The music is what it is...four chord structures, pretty simplistic. But there is an energy that the band has live that most bands just can't get to...it's hard to explain. The crowd always seems to connect and react live to this band for whatever reason.
I haven't followed them much post Back in Black as I felt their best stuff was up to that point. However I have bought the past few albums on vinyl (cd was free with vinyl purchase) and they sound pretty good and have some strong tracks....but nothing like the heyday. |
