This ref job was a damn joke. Ten minute really and Malkin doesn't goooo???

All that slashing, guy knocks a player down from behind no call, and Horqvist gets touched dives and call????

Petro held no call.

This a damn disgrace and a joke. Probably wanted Cindy Crosby to win.

Elliott needs to go back to the AHL. I have seen this version before. Never will be a starter. Three of those goals were highly stoppable.

Elliott has been about as good as the officiating.

That's right I dominate!

How ya doing man?

I was just getting rid of the anger. I am not sure I understand the new rule changes in the NHL as far as letting so much go that was not let go in recent years. Players are noticing and talking about it.

Hornqvist takes out Tarasenko's knee, no call. Tarasenko goes after Hornqvist, so they get a powerplay... should have just pretended to be hurt like a Blackhawk would have, gotten the 5 minute power play.

Yeah terrible officiating. Officials and Elliott had a bad night.

If you haven't realised it by now - well now you do. The zebs manipulate the games - they have agendas. The best team might not always win in the NHL. There is no even playing field. There is no integrity.

his play at this point matters to a certain point, but what matters really is how he performs in the playoffs. Elliot can steal games for us. Have faith in your goalie

I was just meaning that when he slipped up really bad during the lockout he went down to the AHL on a "conditioning stint", and then he was awesome.

Just a couple of games ago he played amazing. But I see too many of these soft goals. Last night it would be hard to believe that he only would have given up two goals.

I am aware of this. They try to keep games close when they are not often as well.

But in the recent past the league wanted to get rid of clitching and grabbing and here it is coming right back into the league. There is a lot stick work going on out there. A lot of slashing. It used to be even when the rules were more lax that you get in two wicked cross checks the third was a penalty, but I have watched Jackman delver six to seven and out a player on the ice and nothing.

There is a big time dive Detroit is especially good at, when a player has the puck along the boards and is facing it in a scrum, go down wickedly with the slightest pressure on your back. Hornqvist pulled it off last night.

Looks like Hitch is not liking Elliott at the moment. Allen to start against Montreal. He says it is because he is a Montreal guy, which is not true. Nice diversion mentioning where he played junior hockey and not sharing the real reason is because Elliott has been losing and giving lots of goals while Allen has been winning, giving up fewer goals.

I guess the entire liter of kittens got stuck in the tree this time. Or is it his sisters aunts nephew got very sick.

What will end first? Randall's 7 day drought OR the Kings 7 game winning streak?

Seven games in a row and still not a play off team yet

ROW beezsnatch. I think the Wild passed them as well, and were further down in the standings. I predict, that in the anger and frustration of sucking, some Ottawa player will lose his crap and take out one of the Kings valuable players and end their hope at the post-season.

I actually like tonight's lines. Of course, if they go behind by a goal like they have been lately, they'll be switched by the first intermission.

I like the line combos as well, minus Berglund with Oshie and Backes. Berglund and Oshie just do not seem to mesh well.

Even though I had liked Berglund's play it is starting to anooy me again. I am thinking if you can move Berglund and get someone at least equally good that is healthy, mit is a plus. I hate having a big guy with a bum shoulder avoiding making checks because of the pain. Plus, unless he learns to keep his head up he is so predictable the other teams just float the point when he turns in the corner and pick off his passes.

Usualy I would say the Blues have enough small players but it might be possible to move Berglund for Atkinson. That kind of speed, goes to the net, and is a good penalty killer would be a welcomed addition. If there was a way to move some players like Berglund, prospects and a pick, I would grab Takupov to Edmonton if they would do the deal. The kid's value isn't as high, but he has not only the ability, but if he were placed in the right team structure he would excell.

Yakupov will fetch more than Berglund. I wonder what could be packaged with Berglund for Timonen.
