I didn't say I wanted him dropped to the 3rd/4th lines. I just said that he doesn't belong on the top 2.
 - chimpira
Unless my math is fuzzy, not in the top 2 would put him on 3 or 4 or off the roster entirely? |

There were those who were making their lines like this:
Okay, okay. 87 with Perron/Kunitz/Dupuis when he comes back for the playoffs.
Malkin can have whoever. Spaling is fine, moving right along. Then Sid can play with Hornqvist and Kunitz and Perron and win the Scoring Race and a lollipop! |

Why not just have Sid and 2 Dmen out there as our 1st line (don't we have a "carp" ton of D-men that we have drafted over the last 5 years)? Then we have enough forwards to fill 4 lines.

Wait. I'm not sure I understand where Malkin is supposed to go. |

Maybe if the pucks had little arms and legs that would help, too. |

I tuned in to MM in time for Dejan. He's saying he wants 71 in the high slot. I'm assuming he wants Sid on the half wall and Hornqvist in front. Where does Perron fit? - Johnny Wrath
As much as I like Perron I'd rather have Kunitz, Hornqvist and Sid up front with Malkin and Pouliot on the points

Get Martin off there. He has 1 of the weakest shots I've ever seen

Meh. I think Hornqvist is better than Kuni at setting screens and I think Perron is a better scoring threat than Kunitz in the weeds around the tops of the circles.
What if the PP is run down low like that by Malkin, Sid is the guy in the slot, and Perron plays on the left side? Sid would have to shoot, and into at least a single screen. |

Wait, there is a need for shooting on the PP??? I thought it was to show your passing finesse!!?? Back to the drawing board ... drats!

I got yelled at for suggesting he was top 4 already and he could replace martin or ehrhoff if they trade one for a winger... well his play while ehrhoff is out shows that... borts is odd man out when ehrhoff returns and next yr maatta is back so either martin or ehrhoff is gone.. might as well get something out of it now while prices are high on D then at draft.
Pens need scoring help and to shoot the puck on net more... stop cutting wide down the wall to go behind the net
. Power move like staal use to do and drive to the net. - nh4442

I dont see any motive for the Blues to do this deal but I'll post it anyway
Sutter + Dumoulin + 2016 3rd for Berglund and Rattie |

I'm thinking that they won't go for that. Sutter is a more useless, taller, thinner, more turd-like C than Berglund. |

Jordan... - YouMeAndDupuis9
Listen, as much as I love Jordan Staal, he cost way too much money to be our 3rd line C. That was a move that needed to be done. What we got in return seemed decent in the beginning ... but now has worn off its fake gold veneer.

I'm sorry to say but I think we're stuck with Sutter this year...I keep telling myself that his lasts years playoffs were not a fluke and he's a modern day Claude Lemieux

But the reality is that he is a modern day Claude the Cat.
