Refs make the correct calls, none of this is even an issue. How about a blog about how piss poor the refs have been, how the Pens have the highest penalties for, and the least amount of PP chance in their entire history. Where are all your fancy stats and graphs for that. If they Pens didn't do anything and lost, you would write a blog about how they didn't show any guts and stand up for Letang.

While the Pens typically lost their minds, that was an obvious dirty slash by OV. Obvious...

I have a feeling this will be the normal response. How about fight through no calls or bad calls and score a goal to get even? How about taking some blame for having so many PIM this year. Composure always lacking with this team.

Yep. But our pp and PK are atrocious right now. Bigger problem is lack of any coaching changes. Sure they split sid and geno, but pouliot is the only guy out there shooting.

It's maddening. Just like most of the shots from the D miss the net. I lost count tonight. Had to be like 10.

The fake shot pass works what. 3. 4. Times a season?!? I felt genuine hate at that power play. And I don't hardly ever feel that

Pens lose their composure due to a bad no call then the blame falls on the leadership both on the ice and behind the bench. But why hold people accountable? Eh I forgot as long as the pens make it to the playoffs all issues and concerns will figure themselves out magically.

Remember in Game 5 of Cup Final against Wings when Pens lost it? They somehow fought through that to win it all. Last time I remember them battling through things not going their way. Teams have more often battled back against us to overcome. Like those 3-1 and 3-2 series leads we blew.

Accurate write up until...

"But hey, they showed some grit, so there's that."

Stop it already with the sarcastic "grit" commends dude. You're like a 5 year old.

Grit doesn't equal stupidly punching someone in the face. Grit doesn't equal unnecessarily checking 42 into the boards. Grit doesn't equal 2-handing someone while on the PK.

You know full well that's not what those of us wanting more grit on the team are and have been asking for.

Grit equals digging a puck out of the corner. Grit equals taking a hit to make a play. Grit is mashing a puck into the net on a PP while 3 guys hang all over you. Grit is showing up when the game is on the line, playing smart, tough hockey. Grit is throwing your face in front of a puck when the game is on the line.

Maybe you don't understand it because you cant quantify it in a chart or graph.

Exactly. We need billy guerin grit. max talbot grit. Brooks orpik crushing stamkos in his first playoff shift. How about Kunitz grit of a year or 2 ago? Not max lapierre head butting a guy on a draw.

Wild are 3 pts out of a playoff spot with 3 games at hand. No way they concede yet.

I don't get it either.

I've about had it with 87 on the PP. This crap has been going on for too long now. He needs called out by someone quite frankly.

Every blind backhand pass in the slot that gets intercepted takes a piece of my soul....

That's a good point especially when it's some of the non gritty players in top 7 on team in PIM like Malkin, Crosby and Letang.

Although there is good grit and bad grit. Downie displays both. Good goal going to net and such, though that is moreso just playing hockey. And then there is not being able to take hit to neck/face and punching guy back and getting the penalty for it.

I'm starting to think his wrist is NOT 100%, or anywhere close, and they (frank)ed up not having the surgery in the offseason.
