Scoob referred to rumours about him being gay in a tread a few days. Apparently its a problem for some people if the best player in hockey prefers the company of men to women. I don't get what the big deal is. Really who f@cking cares. As if it has some magical effect on how they live there lives. - thundachunk

It would matter to all the gay kids or men in the closet who aren't able to come out. It would be a huge story, and would be like Jackie Robinson breaking the colour barrier in baseball.

But its not the same. Black is there. You can't avoid race. There is no need to discuss sexual preferance. Do people come out as straight?
