To me , I am not looking for rentals. I don't mind hockey trades that will help us for the future, but if it is just tinkering , then I rather keep the guy here already

- VANTEL

He is 28 and signed for 3 more years.....not a rental in my mind but the hope would be a better offensive threat than Higgins in the top 6. I think you might be selling him a little short ( no pun intended ).

Kypreos is the source... the only source.... just saying....
- boonerbuck

Kyproes seems to be his biggest cheerleader. He was going off about Lack starting another game last week (CHI, I think) and how Miller needed to be playing that game.

It really bothers me that he has such a prominent role on Sportsnet. Dude should be covering the KHL in Siberia...

I think I am too but the point is why trade for him ? We need players that will make an impact like vrbata or bring up one of our own players

Kyprios is doing his job, spreading poop around.

But about Miller...He will get one of the starts in NY. But if he sucks, expect Lack to get more starts this month

- moondawg

I imagine Lack gets the rangers and the Isles and Miller gets Boston, Jersey and Buffalo.

I wonder if Matt Read would be a decent target from Phi, he is having a tough year but has scored 20+ twice. His contract is a bit steep but I would be happier with him in the top 6 than Higgins.
- belcherbd

Flyers are barely on the playoff bubble right now, not likely to buy...I think they would not part with Read when his value is low. I wouldn't want to trade a roster player or draft pick for him atm

I guess I think he could make an impact like Vrbata, scored more goals last year than him. Anyways just a guy that I hadn't heard thrown around, sounds like more and more Kassian is on his way out and I imagine the target will be a top 6 forward.

That's some value, even in a package I don't see a top-6 coming here in a trade.

More patience please.

He's kinda what we have already. A great 3rd liner or bad 2nd liner

Why give up a young asset (which is how' you'd get him) for a bandaid fix?

What are you talking about? Kassian alone can land us Crosby!

He's hansen with less d and more offense. I'd be alright flipping the 2 if the salary difference was dealt with

I wonder if they'd retain salary and Crosby's whining

First. Good win. Bo looks better and better out there. Kenins as well. Some decisions to be made at the trade deadline I think.
- Beachcomber

Kenins is making a statement here. I don't think he can replace Richardson or Bonino simply because they are guys with a greater scoring touch or faceoff prowess.... so guys like Linden Vey better watch out.

Right now, I would not take Kenins out of the lineup.

JB did say if a young player forced his hand he would make moves.

@BradZiemer: Edler and Tanev were not on #Canucks charter to New York today

Interpret that how you will...

Look at Richardsons career numbers and tell me again about his scoring touch

Scoob referred to rumours about him being gay in a tread a few days. Apparently its a problem for some people if the best player in hockey prefers the company of men to women. I don't get what the big deal is. Really who f@cking cares. As if it has some magical effect on how they live there lives.
