Hey nuck fans. Dont shoot me. Im a Leaf fan in Vancouver, and i was thinking of a trade scenario that could help both teams. You guys will probably hate tgis because my trade offer involves players that are Leafs and you hate Leafs, but hear me out.
To Van:
JVR
Gardiner
-
Reason: JVR is the absolute perfect compliment of skill, speed and size for the Sedins. Insane hand eye, and hands in tight. Uses his wheels a little more and hes a superstar imo. Gardiner is the perfect solution for your powerplay point with wonderful creativity and untapped potential as a qb.
-
To Tor:
Horvat
Sbisa
Kassian
1st.
-
Leafs receive a wonderful young center to eventually play shutdown minutes and contribute offense. Kassian returns home in hopes of discovering his potential. Sbisa improves our blueline defensively, ans the 1st allows us the opportunity to stockpile draft picks and potentially move up in the draft.
-
Am i totally out to lunch? I think its a pretty even trade. I know you guys adore Horvat though, i dont blame ya. - Rysko81
You lost everyone here at horvat. |

I played The Last of Us recently and it was pretty dope, but other then that I tend to get bored with them pretty quick. I'll take a good book any day. - CubanBuffet
I just bought that a few weeks ago. Started playing it. Loved it but then the story went a little sideways. Haven't played it in a while. Should I stick with it? |

Kassian could be a decent player
TO should never discuss goaltending ' that is just wrong on too many levels.
Horvat is coming along nicely and will develop into a 2LC , which is fine.
Vey is an offensive rookie that needs work on his D.
It is a Canuck thread and I do believe we have the right to discuss our players here - VANTEL
Kassian could be a really good player. I think the main thing he lacks is what will prevent him from doing it. Vision he doesn't have it. He has the size, skill, speed, hands, grit and contrary to what the rest of you think he is smart guy. I think his immaturity is makes him seem like an idiot. He doesn't see the ice the like he should and it shows in his frustration when he isn't doing well. He is always a couple steps away from where he should be and its the same if he is attempting a skilled pass. All the attributes to be a really good player are there but he has to see the ice if he is ever to make that step. |

Fug - it's Feb 18th and I've gotta cut the grass, not complaining about the 15C weather but the spin-offs can be a b!tch. - LeftCoaster
Can you swing by and do mine (mowers broke and i've been procrastinating)? |

Very true, did you see his pass backwards between his legs to Plekanec for the game winner against the Wings? - LeftCoaster
Go watch the replay again, he was trying to clear the puck (back to his own end) off the boards, but his angle was all wrong and instead the puck bounced right out into the middle of the ice... |

I enjoyed it. It's not like most games where you can just run in guns blazing, you need a strategy for every encounter. It's one of the few games that I didn't lose interest in. |

Jamie Benn getting his first career regular season hat trick last night isn't that odd as he is still fairly young.
Surprising that neither Patrick Kane or Pavel Datsyuk have ever scored a hat trick during their regular season careers. Kane has 2 in the post season and Datsyuk has 3 although. |

Exactly. The beginning was soooo good and then fell back into typical video game clichés. |

So they step up when it counts? Must be nice to have players like that on your team. |

It's a deep draft. Would be nice to gab a few more picks for our fringe players. |

I would prefer he sells a couple of fringe players but think it's more likely he adds one. |

I will go with a wild prediction.
Miller , Mathias for Marleau and a third
Canucks are looking for a second line winger. SJ looking for a goalie. Same term left , 500 k difference in salary. Both have been somewhat underwhelming. |

If SJ are bringing in a goalie, you would think Niemi would be on the way out no? |

Yes but it does not need to be us although I wouldn't mind adding another piece and getting Neimi also |

Would be an absolute steal but there is no way SJS is going to move Marleau for Miller. What would they do with Niemi? there is no market for goalies. |

Doesn't Marleau have a full on NTC? Also does SanJose make a push for a playoff spot? Too many factors in the next 10 days. I would also push for a second not a third because of Mathias. Mathias fits this team pretty well he is a big young body good contract I bet he would be signed here. Marleau is great but he is old and I only bring him in on a deal like this if we are making a run. |

Marceau is old and overpaid like Miller. They are both still useful but, with all the playoff Houdini acts , combined with their disappointments right now, they could move him.
Maybe Miller Markstrom for Marleau Niemi? |

From TSN;
Olli Jokinen's first impression of the Toronto Maple Leafs was a damning assessment.
"The one thing I notice here being here two days is a lot of negative energy around here," Jokinen said after Tuesday's loss to the Florida Panthers, the Leafs' 23rd in the past 27 games.
 No kidding. |

If Miller is mad as reported yesterday and he wants to be Westcoast , California , I don't think his NTC would be an issue |

If I were SJ, I wouldn't be bringing in a $6m goalie unless I already had my starter on the way out. Trying to trade him later would mean likely getting next to nothing.
I doubt JB is even considering moving Miller. It would make him Gillisesque, a la Matieu Schneider |
