On a serious note, and I know you know , because you are a reasonable poster, I think the Leafs are going to have a very hard time moving Dion or Kessel. If they do somehow manage to move them ,it will be for a disappointing return.

I am shocked with last weeks trade . Two rentals that were previously owned by the same team for a late first , a so so prospect and a clown.

Reason: JVR is the absolute perfect compliment of skill, speed and size for the Sedins. Insane hand eye, and hands in tight. Uses his wheels a little more and hes a superstar imo. Gardiner is the perfect solution for your powerplay point with wonderful creativity and untapped potential as a qb.

Leafs receive a wonderful young center to eventually play shutdown minutes and contribute offense. Kassian returns home in hopes of discovering his potential. Sbisa improves our blueline defensively, ans the 1st allows us the opportunity to stockpile draft picks and potentially move up in the draft.

Pretty much out to lunch dude. JVR is worth decent value going back but Gardiner is pretty much a bust. Jury is out on Kassian here.

Everything with Horvat this season is a pleasant surprise from the beginning. I watched his development in Utica and thought he would maybe get a couple games and be sent to juniors. After 2 games I was surprised when he did better than I thought. Then I said he would get the full 9 games because of his solid play but he would be sent back down to juniors. Again I was surprised when he earned a spot. I don't remember anyone questioning whether or not he deserved to be there. It has been like that all season. I don't remember the last time we had a draft pick that has exceeded all of my expectations and become such a valuable piece of our franchise. The only player not available for trade on my list is Horvat. Usually I would consider trading anyone but not this kid.
