Luongos trade offers had two problems.

First the CBA changed during the trade period. Once ,what was a brilliant tactic in contract planning was heavily penalized by the NHL in the new CBA and called back sliding contracts.

Second Luongo refused a trade that would have sent him to your team. John Shannon even came out and said a deal was done during the labour dispute. We had members of the media here agreeing something was in place . Luongo decided he wanted Florida.

Right now Leaf fans are saying Kesel to Fla for a first and Bjugstad and Dale Tallon is replying whoa , we don't even really want Kessler
