Clarkson has the worst contract in the history of the sport

Well our most pressing need is probably another defense-man, though a gritty, bottom-six forward is always preferred as well for a playoff run.

Moving Bickell would be great considering that he'll likely be the first one moved this summer when the 'Hawks have to attempt to re-sign Saad and Kruger with no cap space.

He plays LW. He played C in the past but he's a much better winger. He needs to play with play-makers since he really can't create on his own.

I think he'd look good with Plekanec.

This. He's going to turn 34 next season and still has two years at a less than $6 mil cap hit. Considering where the 'Hawks stand from a salary stand-point, opposing GM's will know that they will not have much leverage if they wait until the summer to shop him.

If we could dump him and Bickell and get very good value return THIS year and moving forward, I think it's something the 'Hawks ought to consider.
