Thomas had Chara, Roy had Chelios then Bourque, Brodeur had Neidemeyer... Having a #1 Norris-caliber D sure helps (although I'm not suggesting that that was the only reason they won Cups). Crawford, Quick and Neimi are all considered 'good guys' and they've all won Cups.

When was the last time someone got in the grill of Quick, Crawford, Neimi and not get a hack in the ankles? They have bite to their game. Lack gets run over and looks at the refs for a call. Borrows gets in the crease of Quick and gets hacked. My intention was not to suggest that we need bumholes as our goalie, but rather we need someone that has some fight.

Time to sell high to Montreal. Seeing how Weise is a top line player that could not get in the lineup here was had for Diaz, I wonder if they would trade Subban for a legit top 6 winger. Higgins.

I did not say anything about mental toughness. I said I want a goalie who shows emotion that he gives a poop. And the Loungo that you speak off has 373 career wins with 66 Shutouts and .919 SV%. Most of his bad numbers came from his Florida days.
And yes I will take someone with Loungo's temperament anyday over Lack's lack of emotion. When Lou lost his job he got pissed and wanted to be traded. Too bad we had dumbass Gillis that for some reason wanted to hold on to the issue and effectively drove Lous value through the floor.

And before you mention that his contract was untradeable, recall that the issue with Lou started before the new CBA and should have been dealt with before the league went into a lockout.

I was more angry at Canucks then at Bruins. I actually admired the resolve and bite of the Bruins. I loved how they adapted after they saw the rules were changed and we just hoped that it would go back.
